1  Re: "Accidentally on Purpose" from SnB Nation in Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller by astrogirl_2007 on: March 09, 2007 09:16:31 AM
I started another thread with my Accidentally on Purpose, not realising this great thread was in existence! Now I just want to put mine on with all these fab versions..

Mine also came out bigger than I'd like - if I could be bothered I'd redo it in the small size, but it was a bit of a boring knit....

2  Re: Gothy baby blanket pattern? in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by astrogirl_2007 on: March 09, 2007 06:43:45 AM
I love the self-striping pinwheel blanket! I made the pinwheel blanket in plain white (I have an aversion to baby pink or blue!) ...

It is indeed really easy to do (although gets quite dull - I lost concentration quite a few times, resulting in some mistakes!), but I reckon you could do it in black or another cool colour and finish it off with a lacey cast/bind off for a gothy look. I used a picot cast off.

3  Re: SnB Umbilical Baby Hat in Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller by astrogirl_2007 on: March 09, 2007 04:54:52 AM
I made one too...

I used a super-soft Baby DK acrylic (sorry, not very up on the US terminology) - I think it came out a bit smaller than the one in the book, but I think it's still OK for a newborn.

Now my boyfriend wants an adult sized one in black!

4  Christmas knitting - mohair jumper in Knitting: Completed Projects by astrogirl_2007 on: March 09, 2007 04:49:54 AM
I made this jumper for my mum for Christmas - she loves it! This was her carving the turkey in it... I cropped off the paper hat 'cos it looked a bit silly...

It's made with Sirdar Blur (with one of their patterns), which is a lovely, reasonably cheap mohair mix.

5  Pink laddered drop-stitch top from SnB Nation - "Accidentally on Purpose" in Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller by astrogirl_2007 on: March 09, 2007 04:44:58 AM
Here's my FO from SnB Nation, the pink cotton laddered top.

It turned out just like in the book, so I'm pleased, but it was pretty tedious to knit! Just loads and loads of stocking stitch! Plus it came out a bit big because I didn't realise how much width you gained when you let the ladders run...
