Now, I'm sure that many others have done such a thing, but I'm proud anyhow because I don't hardly ever sew!

I made it for my boyfriend's birthday because he only has one pillow in his dorm room!  I used a girl's XL t-shirt from the Sustainable Edition at American Apparel; it's 100% organic cotton; the boy is very into the environment and being socially conscious, AND it was only 15 dollars.  (And I may have bought myself one for myself bc i liked it so much.)

it's kinda lumpy, i'm hoping that'll change with use.

Around winter break, I decided to break away from scarves--and make some hats.  Here are a few that I've made:

the green hat, which was made for a man, and has an embroidered peace sign on just one ear flap:

(this is definitely the fanciest that i've made.)

the white hat, which i made before i was comfortable increasing and working in a pattern at the same time (i made it top-down):


the blue hat, which i made using the pattern for le slouch, except that when i followed the directions that hat got HUGE so i ended up not increasing as much.  the yarn is so so soft. i'm actually wearing this hat right now...



and, i'm sorry that i look so angry when i take pictures of my hats.
