The game is totally fun, and because they painted the tiles red, they are easy to see from a distance.

Here's a preview from my garden.

Kentucky wonder green beans

These are all great projects.  I love the quilty stuff, the owls, the tiny bears, and everything else that I've lost track of.  I'm having a hard time keeping up.

Here's an update on the scrabble tiles that I made a while back.  They have been painted and used in several games.  They seem to be a hit with the adults, but the kids weren't too excited about them.

Well, I am behind again.  You all have some really awesome projects going.  I have just skimmed through the last 20 pages, trying to get caught up and the amazement is complete.  Blankets, socks, bookmarks, critters, quilt stuff, dolls, and on and on.  All beautiful stuff.

I have been busy but not much for crafting.  Here's my latest big little project.  I carved an ice cream cone.  Then someone saw it and asked for a double scoop.  Then someone else saw it and wanted soft serve.  So here are my three ice cream cones, and one photo to show size of the cones.  That's a quarter in the photo.

4  piano arm clock in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by pinokeeo on: August 16, 2014 08:25:09 AM
This is my second time making a piano arm clock.  I redesigned it so that the middle is scooped out for the clock hands.  It keeps perfect time.

Wow!  Everything is so beautiful, the shibori fabric, note cards, mosaic, pendants, stencils, and everything else that I've lost track of.  You all are on a roll.

My latest projects.

The first is my second piano clock.  I redesigned it, with a shallow dip in the middle for the clock hands.

The second project was a simple one.  I made a talking stick for my Native American friend En Ne Op eh, who is the head of the Three Feathers flute circle.  She gifted me a flute awhile back, so I wanted to make something special for her.

Thanks for the kirigami links, AIMR.  I am so far behind on my paper crafting.

My latest projects that actually are finished.

First, I made dice.  These are woodburned and so easy to make.  I'll probably include them in some of my homemade games.

My second items is a board challenge entry.  I'm calling this Sidewalk Scrabble.  I cut and sanded all the pieces and stencilled on the letters and number values.  I'll be taking these to another location where the kids will be painting the letters on, then they will play scrabble on a basketball court.

There are 100 tiles in the set, and the two blanks are included.

For size reference.  I'll probably make another set of these in a smaller version for myself and my family.

I don't know if you can read this.  It says, play scrabble.

This was a fun project and it only took one day to make these.

Just sharing a photo that I took yesterday.  Back story:  We planted two dwarf cherry trees about seven years ago.  The last couple of years our harvest has been dismal, and before that we got nothing.  So I'm excited about these trees being full this year.  Here's the first pick from one of the trees.

These are already in the dehydrator.  The next batch will be made into pies for the freezer.

Wow! 5000 cranes is more than impressive!  I have only ever folded half a dozen.  I can't even imagine that many cranes.

Many other projects that look great.

My latest.  I went ot a show this past weekend and was asked to do a carving demonstration.  While I talked, I carved a couple of tricky items.

The first is a spoon with a captured ring, meaning that the ring is part of the spoon and doesn't come off.  The wood came from my firewood pile, so I don't even know what kind of wood it is.  I only know that it is brittle, so I won't be using this kind of wood again.

The second is a celtic tri-knot.  It was just an experiment to see if I could carve like this, but apparently someone was impressed, because I sold it.  Anyway, this one is carved from walnut, one of my favorite carving woods.

And, when I got home, I picked the first of my harvest, fresh radishes.

Hope you like them.

Congratulations, Bunny1kenobi.

fantasticmio, that is a beautiful blanket.  Can't say I blame you for wanting to keep it.

Here's my latest small project.  There's a back story to this one.  A couple of years ago I was in a swap with Sevsonlygirl.  I sent her a bowl made from a gourd.  I had cut the top of the gourd off and set it aside for another day.  Well, I finally pulled it out and made a wall sconce from it.  Not my best work, but I really had no idea how to do this, so I just winged it.

Thanks for the link, SilverMoon.  It looks simple enough.  Now I just need to find the time.

My latest project.  I was asked to make a spool knitter that didn't look like a spool.  So, I got out my carving tools and went to work.

Here's my version.

And here it is, in use.

It seems to work ok.  Stitches are nice and even.
