I love your running commentary, Smeddley, and the cow is too funny.
And I really like your recycled yarn holder. Nice work.
My latest project: I have been playing around with piano parts lately. I had received an entire piano keyboard, minus everything except the keys and arms. The person that gave me all these parts to play with issued a challenge. Bet you can't make a clock out of these. Well, I couldn't pass up a challenge like that, so here's my version of a piano arm clock.
All of the pieces were ground down on one end at a 7.5 degree angle per side, so that all of the pieces met in the middle. Then I added a backer board to hold the clock mechanism, and cut to fit some clock hands and added numbers all around.
The arms aren't straight, so the clock looks a little tipsy, but I assure you it keeps pretty good time.
