1  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Miniature Butcher and Charcuterie on: December 14, 2014 10:16:08 AM
I made this for my husband for Christmas. He used to be a butcher many moons ago and is still smitten with meaty things. He smokes his own bacon, makes his own sausage and even dries his own meats. Basically, he feels the same way about meat as I feel about crafting Tongue

The outside measurements are around 7.5" x 5.8". It's pretty dang small and the inside space was even teenier so it was a chore to arrange all the inside bits and still have it close up.
Here's a business card and pencil for size reference...

I made all of the meats with polymer clay. I'm usually pretty relaxed with the realism in my work so this level of non-imaginaryness was a change for me.

And that's that! Now to wrap this sucker up and hide it before he peeks... he is a total peeker. Seriously, worse than my kid  Tongue

2  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Tiny Winter Wonderland on: November 18, 2014 11:08:14 AM
My neighbour volunteers at a charity/thrift shop and brings me loads of great stuff. A couple of weeks ago she dropped off an empty clock box. I knew right away that I wanted to create a little wonderland inside.

The piece can be viewed from either side. One side features a little cottage, the other a tiny snowman.

This fellow is a smidge smaller than the one in this piece.

Overall the piece measures 7" x 8"
3  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Poe and Lovecraft Framed Portraits on: October 23, 2014 08:50:28 AM
I had a design team assignment from Petaloo to create something with their products, and products from Xyron and Core'dinations for a Halloween blog hop, and because they are super cool they let me create whatever pops into my head. So, I made these two 'Masters of Horror' portraits featuring Edgar A Poe and HP Lovecraft

The tentacles are made from polymer clay

I'm pretty sure that's a turkey feather, not a raven's... but I know you won't spoil the secret  Kiss

4  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Little Saint Expedite Shrine on: September 18, 2014 10:49:53 AM
I created this little shrine to Saint Expedite using all sorts of new and old bits and pieces. Inside there is offerings of beer and cake in the little vials, a four leaf clover and a scrolled note to that great saint who is forever saving my butt.

A pic with my grubby hand for size reference.

5  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Sky Pirate Paper Zeppelin on: September 18, 2014 07:04:35 AM
Not toooo long ago I drafted a paper rocket ship for Graphic 45. While making the rocket ship I knew I could apply the same template to create something even cooler than a rocket... a sky-pirate zeppelin! And so the fleet of flying things in my studio has grown to include this papery bit of goodness.

The piece measures under 8" x 10"
6  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / A wee wine cellar on: August 18, 2014 11:45:51 AM
I made this wee wine cellar in a glass boxy thing-a-ma-bob. It measures around 7" x 5.5" x 5.5"

My favourite is the squishy sloppy wino foot prints Smiley
7  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Shabby Altered Canvas' on: August 01, 2014 12:29:22 PM

I'm on the Tresors de Luxe design team and they sent me a boatload of gorgeous lace and pretty embellishments.

Here I've altered two small canvas', just 4" and 2", and made something pretty and shabby to hang on the wall.

I teastained and white washed the lace to give it a more vintagy look Smiley

8  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Old School Paper Rocket Ship on: August 01, 2014 12:22:16 PM
I created this nifty paper rocket for Graphic 45

I'm pretty dang proud of it as I drafted the pattern for it after making a really cruddy rocket.

There's a tute and download to make your own available on my blog HERE

To the moon!
9  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / "The Secret Garden" Altered Altoid tin on: August 01, 2014 12:11:31 PM
So I've made another set of altered Altoid tins. These ones are based on "The Secret Garden"

The tiny robin inside is handmade from paperclay.

Most of the little flowers come from Alpha Stamps but I made the ivy on the outside.

I made an edition of 5 of the tins.
10  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Completed Projects / Fairy Tour 2014 on: July 05, 2014 11:22:43 PM
For the past 4 years I've built fairy houses on my property and people come and wander and poke and look. Here are photos from this years set up...

We have a little mailbox attached to an old maple tree. The fairies leave personalized mail for the kiddos that visit.

There is always extra smudged mail at the house so no kids are disappointed if there isn't mail waiting for them.

These little cocooned babies were a BIG hit with the kids who visited today. They were sleeping quietly in old mossy tree stumps.
