Awesome. Sauce.

Seriously cool and I'm totally impressed with the amount of detail you managed at the size you worked in with the materials you used.

Very cool.
13  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Fortune Teller Booth on: September 03, 2015 05:40:42 PM
After making loads and loads of fairy themed things I was itching to make something a litter less 'sparkly' and decided on a Fortune Teller booth

The piece measures just a smidge under 13", which is a bit larger than I usually work in. The Gypsy fortune teller inside is free sculpted from polymer clay, her hair is wool roving.

Inside she has a crystal ball and wee tarot cards

The box itself is made with foamcore, covered with old bits of paper and has decorative elements I created with paperclay and a mold.

lol I made a whole series of polymer mushrooms the other week and I have those exact same boxes. I am literally in the middle of doing the exact same thing! Great minds think alike  Wink

Your mushrooms are fab. Your Indian Pipe Plant is great Smiley

The bubbles are clear acrylic balls/beads in dimensional glue. Depending on what you want to achieve, Mod Podge's Dimensional Magic does not dry completely clear when applied thickly so it looks a little milky/dishwaterish, Diamond Glaze DOES dry beautifully clear.

Clear Micro beads = http://www.alphastamps.com/p17603/1mm_Micro_Beads_-_Clear_AB*/product_info.html?osCsid=690ae2b02922400d3ac528013d710936
Larger beads =  http://www.alphastamps.com/p17603/1mm_Micro_Beads_-_Clear_AB*/product_info.html?osCsid=690ae2b02922400d3ac528013d710936

Iridescent beads are nice because it looks like when sunlight hits the soapy surface.

You and your clowns  Cheesy

I love your distressing. It matches the vintageness perfectly.

I love Satan in a dress even more  Kiss

Thanks everyone!

Racky: Yeah I made the washtubs.

HSG: This one took me three solid days. I don't really time myself, but if I'm really into something I'll put in 14+ hours in a day. I make most of the items out of things like coffee stirsticks, tongue depressors, toothpicks, twigs and cardboard... just fiddly stuff I have on hand. Some things are purchased, like the pump and those tiny baskets. I usually design all the print stuff too but I really lucked out and found a miniature site with free printables for many of the boxes.

"The Wandry Room" just like a boring laundry room... only for fairy wands and wings.

It measures 7" x 8" x 4" so it's pretty wee. Here's the 'outside'

And another view of the whole she-bang. There's a lot going on in there. Including a bottled magic, soap, baking soda, wand and wing starch, bars of soap, buckets, and a wandry machine for getting out tough wand stains.

It's a bit of a mess, but don't worry, it's run by trained professionals.

It's really teeny weeny.

There's a wand repair manual from 1978 tucked inside the tool box.

Copper plumbing and extra wand parts tucked beneath the sink.

Suds in the handmade bucket. You need LOADS of bubbles to clean wands and wings.

A bit of magic spilled on the floor. You can see a load of clean wands drying on the left.

Some extra manuals and how-to books tucked here and there.

Wands and wings tagged and ready for pick up!

And for a bit of scale here's my grubby hand Smiley
