1  California / California: South / Re: OC Crafting Meet-up on: August 26, 2010 09:04:34 PM
Anyone in South Orange County?  I am down in San Clemente.  I actually started and ran a crafting meetup.com group back in Colorado but don't have time to start one out here.  I really miss my crafty gals though!  We would each take turns teaching a class for the cost of materials about once/twice a month, and we did a stitch and bitch about once a week or so at a wine bar or coffee shop.  Once in awhile we did "commercial" outings and went to paint your own pottery places and such.  It was pretty awesome and I haven't seen anything like it out here.  I would start another one if I knew a few other people would want to help run it and plan meetups.  Anyone interested?
2  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: cutting records? on: November 20, 2007 01:31:26 PM
Has anyone ever though of using a soldering iron?  I just made my first record earring holder and used a candle to heat up a needle for the holes, but so annoying and a lot fo the holes weren't big eough.  I bet a soldering iron would be great, but what about using it to cut through the records too? Any ideas?

How about taking pictures of their current furry buddies and using those for cards? Cheesy I think that would be very sweet

I have taken some, but unfortunately my camera isn't that great...I want to try and give this a professional feeling

Hi everyone,

I recently started volunterring at a local cat shelter, Angels with Paws, who do not euthanize, and are extremely under-funded.  I have been trying to find a way to make more money for them, and have decided to put together a cafepress site for them.

What I need is cute sayings or quotes related to animals.  I also need copyright free images that I can put on greeting cards and calanders and stuff.  SO any suggestions would be awesome!  Thank you!

Those are really beautiful!!!  I am so jealous of your pictures.  I make jewelry and can never get pics to look like that.  Do you have an awesome camera, or am I just retarded and can't find the right setting?

Thanks! Do you like the beads with it or do you think I should just make a neckwire or buy a black ball chain for it?

I really like the beads, but a black ball chain would be cute too.  I think it would depend on where it would be worn and with what.  The ball chain would definitely draw more attention to the actual pendant though.
9  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / A present for Mommy dearest! on: June 27, 2007 10:04:16 AM
So ever since I have become obsessed with making jewelry (about 4 months ago) I have been keeping an eye out for something I can make for Mom.  Her taste is completely different than mine, and she only wears gold....so I found this stone and said to myself "Oh it's just perfect Dahling!"  and this is what I came up with....  Tell me what you think

Sorry about the fuzziness, damn phone cameras
