Be careful that your stitches don't get twisted on the first round.
12  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Sweet Floral Messenger Bag for my Amazing Assistant! on: November 03, 2008 11:39:20 AM
I love it. I recently made my first messenger bag, but my pockets were all wrong.
13  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Lil' Devil Pants KAL? on: November 02, 2008 05:10:48 PM
I love these little pants. I wish I'd seen this in time! I have a friend who would probably love them for her daughter. How'd they turn out?
14  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Amy Butler Weekender Bag on: November 02, 2008 04:53:55 PM
It's gorgeous, but I would have been afraid I'd lose it over the edge of the balcony where the photo was taken. It's too perfect to be lost to a good wind!

That's funny. Actually, on the other side of that wall is just a few feet down to a flat roof, so it would have been easy to grab it. In a New Mexico spring, though, it would have blown away in an instant.
15  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: A-Line Jacket, Tilted Duster and October socks on: November 02, 2008 04:52:15 PM
For the A-Line Jacket, I used Burly Spun yarn. It's huge, but was still a little smaller than their yarn (which would have been really expensive). So I had to use size 17 needles.

I love it! Thanks for the blog link. I'll go check it out!

I really want some of those, so I can peek my finger out to work my iPod in the car!
18  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Re: Pattern Weights? on: October 28, 2008 05:20:55 PM
I forgot about my pattern weights! I'll have to get them out. They are nice to use.

Worse is when that seam was a carefully eased, pinned, tricky, curved seam...and you had pulled all the pins out as they reached the needle. Argh.

yes, this happens to me all the time. I hate it. I like the idea of a bell!
20  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: When fleece goes cute on: October 28, 2008 04:39:37 PM
Thank you. The first one is definitely my favorite. The white one used to be, but I've worn it out a bit. There are some great patterns out there for fleece, now!
