1  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / when you live with your parents and you've only got a bedroom to decorate... on: January 21, 2008 02:28:45 PM
my bedroom used to be a very dark green with orange and purple accents...i wanted something calmer, so i did this (it took three coats of paint)

i painted this dresser (it used to have a plastic looking "maple" veneer)

stuff on top of dresser

my bed

close up of stuff on side table

the other side table

chair that under normal circumstances is covered with clothes

shelf filled with craft supplies and misc other stuff

my desk (this is as clean as it's ever been)

another shelf, this one filled with books (i need a bigger one, half of my books are in storage cause they don't fit)

7  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / easiest necklace ever! on: July 03, 2006 12:29:40 PM
so i had this pendant, a rectangle in a sort of "faux jade".  i was stumped for a while on how to use it, when the other day i had the idea to string it on some red embroidery floss.  it's now one of my favourite necklaces!

here's my sister modelling it for you:

(i apologize if some of my pictures are  blurry...my camera sucks!)

9  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / 'moppe' revamp on: January 15, 2004 08:26:55 AM
if any of you are ikea-fanatics like me then you are probably familiar with the 'moppe' boxes. for those of you who aren't, they look like this:

well the plain, unfinished wood was boring me so i did this:

red stain and some links from a coppery coloured chain. plus a coat of modge podge to make it glossy.
10  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Cards for Friends on: January 14, 2004 03:02:55 PM
A few cards that I just made.

For my friend's birthday:

For another friend:

For my 'mentor' (ex-teacher):

Plus some thank you cards:

All the cards were made with random bits of cardstock. The shiny paper on the first three cards is from some origami paper i found in chinatown for $2.
