Fabulous job - I love the ties you selected!  I'm so glad you were able to follow my tute!

Necktie bags are always in style.

I purchased this fabric at a local fabric shop in Phoenix, AZ.  It's been quite a while.  I'm sure you could find something similar.  The stretchier the better.

Thanks for trying my design.

Hi Ratfiend,

I'm not sure I understand your question, but you can certainly add extra layers to the skirt.  Here is an example of a skirt with two layers.

Dear Sassy,

Thank you for admiring my necktie owls.  I'm sorry I don't have a tutorial for them.  They're not too challenging.  I start with 6-inch tapered lengths of tie.  The piece in the center back folds over to form the "forehead."  They are gathered up at the bottom and filled from the top (sand in the bottom, then stuffing) before gathering the top and folding the back piece over.

I know this isn't much of a tute!

Anyone else curious about this, please click on my blog.  Thanks!

Ruby
6  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Re: I stenciled my bathroom.... on: August 08, 2008 10:22:55 PM
I restored the photo.

I'm so glad I had posted this because I have now painted the bathroom taupe and hung a piece of artwork on that wall.  This is my only photo of the stenciling!

Dear Craftster friends,

This tutorial has been up for over three years and has almost 100,000 views!  Thank you everyone who has tried the schoolbag.  I hope that you have had fun with this project and that you will be encouraged to try additional sewing projects.

Thank you everyone who lets me know about those who are selling my designs on etsy or eBay.

I don't really mind you making these to sell.  I would merely appreciate the courtesy of you properly crediting my design as your "inspiration."  With 100,000 craftsters having looked at this tutorial it is fairly evident that someone will notice and bring it to my attention.  You are welcome to make these and to sell them.  Just don't claim that it is your original or signature design.  Thank you.

Sincerely,
Laura K

If you just spread the word that you are interested in ties, you will get boatloads.  Trust me.

Thanks Clara,  As far as I'm concerned, neckties never go out of style....
