thanks *-*
I only possess a limited choice of felt, and I only had this dark green at hand ^^" if I'd also have some red felt, I definetely would have made a red mushroom, too! ...yeah, just too lazy to go buy some new felt  Tongue

my bf and me are having exams @ school, so I decided to make him a 1up mushroom as a good luck charm! I looked up some pictures on the i-net and made the 1inch tiny feltthing up from the scratch:
front
and back

another charm I made from felt is this onigiri:

it is now happily attached to my keychain!  Cheesy
the other charms next to it are a cherry (as I like to call it) I made by using swarovski bicones and roccailles as well as two straw stars and a kitten which I bought during my holiday trip to Vietnam.

thanks for having a look and feel free to tell me what you think them!  Wink

haha, that owl is so cute. I especially like the pic next to the "giant" pear. I actually also made some owls a while ago. But I like your pattern better. Mind sharing it?

I used the owlpattern in this thread:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=10382.msg80628#msg80628
it should be on page 10 *-*

your igor has a really cool look, I can even see him setting up plans in his mind! his eyes are great! >_<

thank you for your lovely comments!  Cheesy
today I felt like making a matching mini owl...it is very small, just like 1.4 inches (3,5 cm) tall.. this hasn't got anything to do with pears directly, but I'm posting pictures anyway ^^"

I'm currently working on another pear which resembles the first one I made, but I don't own a sewing machine so the whole handstitching takes its time >_< I hope to finish it by tomorrow or so... *-*

after seeing your beautiful pears I decided to make one, too!
so here is the second one I made so far (my bf claimed the first one to be his right after I finished it, so I had no time to take a picture ^^")

9  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: Straw Stars... on: March 09, 2007 07:53:55 AM
i taught myself doing the paper stars after finding some at my relatives' house...since then i've always been making them during school but my friends seemed to really find a liking at flattening and putting them in shape again until they were not solid and puffy anymore ;_;
the paper i used was a normal papersheet (DinA4), the chequered type you write on and usually use during math class. when cut into 1cm (takes 2 of the little squares) wide stripes you should be able to make cute stars with a funny squarepattern Cheesy thus the paper is very cheap and you don't have to buy special one...

recently i have started making drinking straw stars, because they look cool and are so much more stable >_< but after 10 stars my fingers start aching ;_;
the straws i use are the ones which have this folded area which allows you to bend them. i flatten the straws and use two of them, because one straw is just too short und the stars end up small and not very even. so i put the two straws together (i'm not very good at describing this, but i'm not sticking them together!) and the stars are bigger and look much better *-*
another cool thing is that when using two straws you can pick two straws with different colors and the stars will look really colorful!

maybe i'll post some pictures soon (if i can figure out how to ^.^")...i've also made an earring with a star!
