1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Mole day on: March 30, 2010 11:10:27 AM
So in my chem class in high school, we had Mole day.  It had some connection to Molarity or some such thing that I have since forgotten... In any case, we got extra credit if we made our own mole and brought it in.  Mine was a princess, but I can't quite remember her entire backstory.  She's made of black fleece, some peachy bit for her nose and paws, and the clothes are made of some cotton stuffs.  She was sewn by hand...  Enjoy!

2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / 3 Bags by M (Seriously Image OBESE!!) on: July 18, 2007 08:27:23 AM
There's three different bags in here.  I never seem to be able to find ones that I like, so I wind up making my own.  Now, without further ado...

The whole bag, pretty true to color.  It's huge, gusset in the side/bottom.

Close up of applique.  It's my gatto.  I origionally planned on making a little purple bow for it's tail, but I never got around to it...

Close up of zipper pull.  Made of black and white ribbon and a neat plastic bead.

The inside of the bag.  Ignore all my crap.  The pockets aren't the best, and the the button holes are all stretched out now.

Next is my rendition of those quilted bags.  I wanted it to be just the pink fabric, but didn't have enough.  there's the outside fabric, batting, then the lining.

Whole bag.

Close up of the buttons.

Cell phone pocket.  Works nicely.

Close up of the pink fabric.

Next is a new bag I finished this morning.  I wanted something smaller than usual.  It was inspired by a co-workers bag.  Kind of took off from there.

Whole bag.  (Being stood up using Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix... Grin )

My first ever slit pocket.  Turned out pretty well...  It's on the inside.

Slit pocket under the flap.  (Second ever slit pocket Cheesy )

Close up of the paisley fabric.

I hope you like them, Craftsters are the majority of my Heroes!!  Feedback more than welcome!
3  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / What everyone needs in life... on: May 14, 2007 04:09:54 PM
I made this for a friend about a week ago.  Her dad had just died, so everyone was kind of in a depressed funk... I figured it would make her feel a little bit better.  I'm still working on framing and giving it to her though... I should get on that, shouldn't I?
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Inconvenient placement... of stains...grr on: March 28, 2007 05:59:20 PM
Right, so I kind of tend to be accident prone.  I have this t-shirt, that fits nicely, and has a nice color to it and everything, and then I went and spilled hot cocoa on it trying to take a drink in the car.  Now there's a light brown stain the size of a nickel smack dab in the middle of the darn thing.  It's a light creamish/green colored shirt, with the light brown stain, like I said.  I can sew (hand and machine), embroider, and screenprint, but i'm willing to try anything.  Any ideas would be greatly appreiated!  Thanks in advance!!
