71  Re: Personal/Private Swap Gallery - July 2007 in The Swap Gallery by kitschbitch on: July 05, 2007 06:11:37 PM
After drooling over beadizzygrl's necklace [ http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=171670.msg1760282#msg1760282 ] I (hopefully) asked if she wanted to swap and happily she said yes!

These are pics (ones beadizzygrl took, because I just have a web-cam)--I have the white one.

I LOVE my goodies and plan on wearing them quite often.

Many thanks, beadizzygrl Smiley .

72  Amigurimi Deer in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by kitschbitch on: March 27, 2007 07:12:13 PM
So, I decided to make an amigurimi fawn for a friend who LOVES deer.  I couldn't find a pattern (and I hate reading them anywho!) so I made my own design (AKA making it up as I went along...).  I am pretty pleased with the end result. Sorry for all the links, but I am new!

The beret is removeable

wonky full-body shot

*about 15cm (6inches) high and 15 cm long.
*the yarn is all from my thrift-store stash so I don't know the brand, weight, etc.  A white baby yarn was used for the body, thin rose-coloured yarn for the nose and curly/crimpy green yarn for the beret and scarf.
*the "spots" are buttons and irridescent beads from my stash.
*stuffed with cotton balls (Well, cotton/rayon balls....), I just love stuffing amis with them!
*done with a number 1 Boye hook from my nanny.

Thanks for looking and I hope you like this little one!  If you have your own ami deer please post them! Smiley
