1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Help With Sackboy Patttern!!! on: December 27, 2009 09:51:08 PM
I've been trying to knit Alan Dart's Sackboy and have made it as far as the thumb but am completely lost as to how to do the fingers.  I can't seem to get the turning part of the pattern!  I know someone has asked this same question before but noone ended giving them an answer.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

2  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Max from Where the Wild Things Are on: November 05, 2009 10:06:40 AM
My boyfriend requested a Max costume for Halloween and I'm super proud of how it turned out.  I spent more time on his costume than my own!

Bunch of pics to follow...
The process:
Basic, unshaped body

Getting closer...

Ears and Buttons added, silly bad quality pic in the mirror with me trying the HUGE thing on

Finished! Ended up being super long and pretty baggy on him.  Did the best I could considering he was in another city while I made this costume

rawrrrr

And the cute tail

Yea, he approves

Also, this is my first post, be kind!

how exactly did you do the mouth?  I read that you used a c.d., but how did you make it pop open? (if that makes any sense)

There are two detailed tutorials on the website links listed below about how to go about reupholstering a chair.  Hopefully they will be useful enough to give you the basics on how to tackle the chair!  They will just have to be modified a bit.
