1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / 8th grade graduation party? its cooler than it sounds...i think on: May 15, 2005 03:44:51 PM

so guys, i'm graduating 8th grade (super, right? Cheesy) and about five friends and i are throwing a bash for our friends at school (about 55 people).  Its going to be in my friend's basment, which might be a little more than a bit cramped, but hopefully we'll have a door in there by then and can have part of the party outside and part of it inside.  I'm taking care of music and helping with decorations.  I think we're going to go with a club/dance theme, since the room is small anyway.  So, the questions are as follows:

Any must have songs that i should play?
Any ideas on decorations?
I'm thinking posters to sign, christmas lights outside, and black lights inside so far...your help is needed.

thanks!
Cheesy
2  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / annoying stencils are no more!! no more cutting out letters and teeny parts!! on: November 23, 2004 01:38:08 PM
Okay, so maybe this is cheating, but I have these Sulky Iron-on pens, and boy are they amazing.  I don't have to cut out words or anything anymore.  I just print whatever I want out in gray and then go over it with the pens and iron it on, and then fill in the picture on the shirt.  I have eight colors I think...they work really well, but I suggest taping down the paper and ironing for 1-2 minutes.   The first time I went to the craft stores near me, they didn't have any iron-on pens, but I went back a few weeks after I bought my pens online and they were there.  I got them for cheaper online though.  Warning:the white pen is somewhat hard to use and can come out uneven sometimes.  I found all of the pens for pretty cheap on this website, if you want to have a look. http://www.speedstitch.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=001&Category_Code=notions_pens  Hope you guys check it out!  They help me so much!!

4  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Discussion and Questions / iron on pens?? on: September 16, 2004 07:29:02 AM
I just ordered these pens that when you color on a regular piece of paper, it makes an iron on transfer. The brand is Sulky.  Has anyone ever used these?  I want to know if they really work well or not.  Thanks guys!

5  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Please help! My brother is going away! This is a time for presents! on: July 27, 2004 12:19:44 PM
My almost 19 year old brother is going away to college a few weeks after his birthday (Aug. 11) I was thinking to spring for plane tickets to NC where his girlfriend is going to college, but I researched it and thats about 200 smackeros, and being not even 15, Thats going to take a while before I have that kind of cash to just give away.  Me and my brother have always been super super close and I'm going to miss him so much, so I want something really special.  Any ideas guys?  Thanks for everything you guys have helped me with so far!!

7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Ideas needed for new Asian theme fabric...please help! on: July 01, 2004 01:00:10 PM
Hey guys! I just got this new Asain themed fabric.  Its super pretty.  Its off white with light green houses and plants and flowers.  Any ideas for what I should do with it?  I hate a ton of it, so anything goes I guess.  Thanks for the help!
