1  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Celtics Quilt Block Help on: November 15, 2011 05:34:30 PM
I want to make a quilt for my brother-in-law for Christmas. My plan is to make it with Celtics fabric, green fabric, and white fabric. I know what I want each block to look like, I just don't know what it is called. Could you help?

I just want to know what size to cut it to get an average sized quilt. Something to pull over you while you're on the couch. Thanks!
2  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Game of Thrones (Song of Fire and Ice) swap? on: August 04, 2011 10:39:23 AM
Would anyone be interested in a Game of Thrones/ Song of Fire and Ice swap? I don't know if I could organize or even participate, but I thought it'd be a cool idea. I might be able to do a OTT - type swap. And just cuz he's yummy (in both the books and show), here's Khal Drogo:
3  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Button Maker? on: July 04, 2011 05:45:59 PM
I was thinking of purchasing a button maker, but they are craazy expensive. I don't want to buy one that ends up being crap and then have to buy another one. So I was wondering if anyone on here has one and would they recommend it? I'm thinking of getting like 1in or 1 1/4in one. Thanks!
4  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Baby safe wood paint on: March 18, 2011 08:28:09 PM
I would like to make my son some periodic table blocks, like these (http://www.thinkgeek.com/geek-kids/1-3-years/e5f7/?cpg=142H&cpg=cj&ref=&CJURL=) . He's only 8 months old so obviously everything he has currently goes in his mouth. I was wondering if anyone knew what sort of paint I could use that would show well on wood blocks and be safe enough that if he decided to chew on it, he'd be ok. Thank you!
5  Halloween / Halloween Decor and Parties / Our pumpkins (5images) on: October 29, 2010 11:09:53 AM
My husband, myself, my sister-in-law, and her boyfriend made pumpkins yesterday.

Here's me working on mine (and doing my Dexter impersonation):

Here's my hubby eating his innards:

and here are the results:

Mine is the Oogie Boogie and my husband's is Jack Skellington.

Also, just cuz, here's my favorite pumpkin of all!
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Funny Shirt for DH to wear during labor? on: June 17, 2010 02:24:40 PM
So while cruising thingamababy.com today, my DH and I came upon this picture:

I want to make something this or something similar for my husband to wear during labor. I was wondering if the smart-alecs here on craftster could come up with something just as witty or better for me to put on the shirt. Any help would be awesome Smiley
7  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Craftster Itself / Online Scan on: November 14, 2009 04:21:11 PM
I'm not sure if this is the right place for this. If it isn't feel free to move it.

Every once in a while when I'm on craftster an "Online Scan" page pops up and tries to get me to download some sort of anti-virus. I have McAfee and I know I don't have any sort of viruses or anything so I'm not sure what it is. When it happens, I have to get out of Internet Explorer and come back to craftster. Just wanted to let you all know. Here's a screen capture of what it looks like.

Update added by sweets4ever:

Hi guys!

So sorry for the inconvenience.  It seems to have gotten into one of our ad networks this last week.  We're working diligently to get it removed.  I think we actually had a breakthrough on Friday, so hopefully it won't be too long!

Again, so sorry.  It's very unfortunate. Sad

Just an update for you guys!  Thanks again for hanging in there with us.

We shut down the infected part of the system yesterday evening, so no one should have experienced the issue throughout the night last night.  We're back in the office again this morning and back on its case.

Hey, guys!  Thanks again for all of your support through this.

We are really sorry about the inconveniences, but as of right now, the issue has been resolved!

If you experience this again, please notify us immediately.
8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Cure for Hole-y Jeans on: May 05, 2009 03:44:05 PM
I have this pair of jeans that I absolutely love and wear waaay too often. They fit me perfectly and make my butt look cute. Unfortunately, since I wear them so often, they're getting kind of worn out in the booty area. I was just wondering if any of the crafting geniuses here on crafster knew of a way I could fix them so I could still wear them. Thanks!

9  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Help with wooden box. on: January 16, 2009 05:24:58 PM
I have this little wooden box.

(Sorry for my foot & tattoo)

I want to decorate it with a French/Fleur de Lis theme. These are the French things I have. Plus I have tons of pages from old French books. And tons of pictures of fleur de lis, that I was going to make into a stencil and paint on.

So my question is twofold. One, how do you think I should design it? Two, some of the paper is thick cardstock, can I use that for decoupage like I would thinner paper? Thanks.
10  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Discussion and Questions / Help coming up with onesie ideas on: January 15, 2009 08:09:30 PM
So my best friend C is pregnant. I got some blank white onesies and I want to decorate them with funny pictures and sayings but I can't think of many. My friend is into heavy metal and goth music but she's also a closet dork, so I don't want run of the mill cutesie ones. I want edgy, sarcastic, type ones. Any ideas?

This is her BTW, to give you an idea. She's utterly gorgeous. Going to have a gorgeous baby girl
