21  Re: Lets See Pics of Tattoos You Designed! in Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects by GiddyUpMunky on: August 19, 2009 04:29:51 AM
Originally I was going to get the cross from Boondock Saints, but I realized as a tattoo it would be really boring, so I sat down and drew this out. I know its hard to see, I'll try to get someone to take a pic of it for me.
I also have a turtle that my uncle freehanded on my leg and a stupid pheonix that the lady f*cked up when she did it.

Get ready to be jealous of the goodies I got from SewEnthusiastic. She rocks!

First, there was this awesome tshirt straight from my wists.

Here is my modeling the tshirt. His face isn't distorted, my ginormous chest causes everything to be distorted.

Then, les deux pieces des resistances:
A Snape doll

AND AND AND AND

a Draco doll.

Can you believe it? I cuddled with Snape to sleep last night. He liked it. Draco can't sleep with my cuz his wand might poke my eye out. SewEnthusiastic also sent 3 buttons but only one made it.

Thank you SewEnthusiastic for an awesome package, I hope your angel rocks your HP world like you did mine. And thanks SevsOnly for organizing.

Ok ok no need to beg!  Grin I made for Lelly.Pants a scarf in Griffyndor colors, cuz she said she wanted one, a handmade purselet in griffyndor colors (I just happened to see that shirt on clearnace on the PX) and a suncatcher I drew onto glass of Neville and his pal Trevor since Neville is her favorite character.
Everything together.

The purse (with buttons that were a pain in my *beep*)

And a closer pic of the suncatcher.

Well I hope she liked my goodies. I'm gonna go check the mailroom on Friday for my box, cuz I have to take a taxi over there, and everytime I do, my box is empty and it's a waste of 5 bucks. But I'm sure my goodies from SewEnthusiastic will be here soon. Smiley

24  Cure for Hole-y Jeans in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by GiddyUpMunky on: May 05, 2009 03:44:05 PM
I have this pair of jeans that I absolutely love and wear waaay too often. They fit me perfectly and make my butt look cute. Unfortunately, since I wear them so often, they're getting kind of worn out in the booty area. I was just wondering if any of the crafting geniuses here on crafster knew of a way I could fix them so I could still wear them. Thanks!

26  Re: Craft My Theme 3 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by GiddyUpMunky on: March 24, 2009 04:33:18 AM
I received today an awesome package from FeyWalker based on my "ancient Egypt" theme. I looooooooooooove it.
Here's the goods.

First was the amazing tote bag. I love tote bags. I never use purses. This one is just gorgeous. I love the fabric on the inside so much I'm going to use this tote inside out most likely. I love the crocheted handle too.

Here's a pic of the amazing blue fabric on the inside. Gorgeous.

As soon as I saw on FeyWalker's questionaire that she could bind books, I secretly hoped she'd bind one of me cuz I am in awe of that particular skill. and she did! I love this, the ankh is gorgeous and it has a great map of Egypt on the inside.

Here's the map on the back.

Then there's a pen with a mummy on it, or a mummy with a pen in it. Smiley Either way it's so cute!

And finally, a beautiful necklace. I think somehow she stamped the image onto clay? I love it, the blue beads are a great color. Match my eyes poifectly.

Thanks so much FeyWalker!

I got this awesome bookmark from Harvey in Australia ( you can't tell but I said that like Hugh Jackman would) but I forgot to post a pic.

She took my theme of animal and added some Aussie flair (said that like Hugh too)

Isn't he cute? Or is it a she? How do you tell the difference btw a male and female kangaroo? Either way I've named him Wolverine. Makes sense in my head.

Woohoo! I just walked my happy little tushy all the way to the mail room. And voila! I had my bookmarks from ChelleOxford, CoryBarton, and Smmarrt. Yay! So without further ado, here they are.

From ChelleOxford, an old fashioned map, to go along with my love of Captain Hook!

And here it is in use. First, in the book I'm currently reading about el capitan and then, in the book I'm writing about him.

She also included a note which contains one of my favorite quotes of all time, and something I tell people whenever they ask why I'm writing a book about Captain Hook.

Ok, now from CoryBarton. I think that in CA, you guys must have some disgruntled postal workers, cuz my bookmark made it all the way to Korea without breaking. Smiley It even has a picture of a pirate ship! Like Captain Hook's! It's a sign.

And last, but not least, from Smmarrt. Two Harry Potter bookmarks! I don't know how she knew I even liked Harry Potter but woohoo! The front have covers from Chamber of Secrets and Sorcerer's Stone. The backs have little tiny pages from the books. Two of my fave scenes actually. One has the scene where Hagrid tells Harry that he's a wizard and one had the scene where we first meet Dobby.

Sorry for all the pics, but they were all so fabulous I had to share. Thank you guys!

30  Help with wooden box. in Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions by GiddyUpMunky on: January 16, 2009 05:24:58 PM
I have this little wooden box.

(Sorry for my foot & tattoo)

I want to decorate it with a French/Fleur de Lis theme. These are the French things I have. Plus I have tons of pages from old French books. And tons of pictures of fleur de lis, that I was going to make into a stencil and paint on.

So my question is twofold. One, how do you think I should design it? Two, some of the paper is thick cardstock, can I use that for decoupage like I would thinner paper? Thanks.
