1  Re: Mug Rug Swap R3 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by GiddyUpMunky on: February 17, 2012 07:59:37 PM
I received from my awesome partner Sewmess just the other day and my partner overdid herself. I freaking love my mug rug. For all Doctor Who fans, prepare to be jealous.

Here's the front.

Here's the back

And here's a closeup of the super sweet TARDIS

Her stitching is amazing. I am so jealous of her stitching skills. Thanks so much Sewmess!! There is nothing messy about your sewing.

2  Re: We Wish You A Spooky Christmas! Gallery in The Swap Gallery by GiddyUpMunky on: November 25, 2011 01:52:39 PM
Thanks so much to CherryLime for an awesome package.

First, there are cake pops. It never occurs to me to send people food in craft swaps, but these are delicious so I'm so glad she did!

Next there was a necklace with Jack Skellington charms on it.

Then, Jack Skellington himself appeared. Instead of an elf on the shelf, CherryLime made me a Jack on the Shelf!

And finally, a Nightmare Before Christmas tree!!!!

Take a look at the awesome Sally tree skirt:

Finally, here it is on my mantle, along with my Jack on the Shelf:

It's so funny cuz I almost made her a tree too but couldn't get the supplies in time! I love my package so much! Thanks Cherry!

3  Celtics Quilt Block Help in Quilting: Discussion and Questions by GiddyUpMunky on: November 15, 2011 05:34:30 PM
I want to make a quilt for my brother-in-law for Christmas. My plan is to make it with Celtics fabric, green fabric, and white fabric. I know what I want each block to look like, I just don't know what it is called. Could you help?

I just want to know what size to cut it to get an average sized quilt. Something to pull over you while you're on the couch. Thanks!

Here's my goodies from my lovely partner DreadfullyDivine...

First a t-shirt with the Stark Direwolf on it

And a cute little Ghost stuffie. She'll find this funny once she sees what I sent her. Smiley

Thanks for being a great (and very understanding) partner!

6  Game of Thrones (Song of Fire and Ice) swap? in New Swap Theme Ideas by GiddyUpMunky on: August 04, 2011 10:39:23 AM
Would anyone be interested in a Game of Thrones/ Song of Fire and Ice swap? I don't know if I could organize or even participate, but I thought it'd be a cool idea. I might be able to do a OTT - type swap. And just cuz he's yummy (in both the books and show), here's Khal Drogo:

And just cuz I thought it was funny, here's CJ with his favorite quote "This is for eating, right?"

Don't worry, I took it away before he could ruin it. Now it is very high up on a bookshelf.

Lilak-Tygress already posted the awesomeness that she sent me, but I'll post up some more pictures of the amazing stuff she sent me. I was spoiled Smiley Sorry for the delay in posting pics. The baby is walking now so things are mysteriously disappearing from the "safe" places I put them.

For my Captain Hook quotes, she sent this tray The quote around the rim is "So, Pan," said Hook at last, "this is all your doing." "Ay, James Hook," came the stern answer, "it is all my doing." "Proud and insolent youth," said Hook, "prepare to meet thy doom." "Dark and sinister man," Peter answered, "have at thee." and then on the third tray in it says "After all, what would the world be like without Captain James Hook?" This is awesome. I have it right by my bed. I have a sick and twisted love of Captain Hook. I'm in the process of writing a novel about him.

Here's an awesome pirate cat book-end with the quote Books can be possessive, cant they? Youre walking around in a bookstore and a certain one will jump out at you, like it had moved there on its own, just to get your attention. Sometimes whats inside will change your life, but sometimes you dont even have to read it. Sometimes its a comfort just to have a book around. Many of these books havent even had their spines cracked. Why do you buy books you dont even read? our daughter asks us. Thats like asking someone who lives alone why they bought a cat. For company, of course." on it.

Here's the beautiful frame with my mantra on it "Everything will be ok in the end, if it's not ok, then it's not the end." on it. I looove the colors in this. Its very natural and soothing. The baby and I are doing a photoshoot next week and I'm going to put on of the pics of us in it.

And finally, an awesome Doctor Who altoid tin. It has the quote from the episode "Family of Blood" that goes "He's like fire and ice and rage. He's like the night and the storm in the heart of the sun. He's ancient and forever. He burns at the centre of time and can see the turn of the universe. And... he's wonderful." It's just the perfect description of the Doctor.
