I love this so much! This is 10 times better than my twin peaks cake (which also came out a little see-through)! I love your polka dots, they're so mod! I feel like I started a fondant party! Yay for posting awesome cakes. Proof that practice makes perfect!

hey whoa lady your crazy to think that my cake is better than yours!! that cake was freaking awesome!

thanks Smiley i was terrified that it was going to be frankenstein-ish

i might be dreaming big but the main reason why i started working with fondant is because i want to make this cake for my bfs birthday

3  2nd Fondant Cake in Dessert by mandasbrighteyes on: May 04, 2008 04:50:55 PM
Okay this is my second try with fondant so please dont be mean lol. My very first try was very unsuccessful and depressing (i didnt have enough to cover the cake) after forcing myself to try again instead of hiding under a rock i finally built up enough courage to do it.

i made a yellow cake, and used the wilton buttercream icing mix. i have to say that it really wasnt that easy to use the mix it was VERY thick and well i actually tried to make it chocolate..needless to say i burned out the mixer   Undecided  the fondant wasnt hard to use at all, and this time i was prepared with more than enough  Wink

first try (i know its horrible) but it tasted good!

AND NOW
