1  denim ruffle apron in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by ladyalmalthea on: August 26, 2008 11:56:32 AM
My mom brought me home a similar one from a trip- I made this for my friend's bridal shower present.
I cut apart a pair of jeans, using the top front and sewing a ruffle around the edge and making a tied waistband (just sewed at the edges- the bow can be untied. I thought that would make it easier to wash.)

2  Frog Brother Boards t shirts in Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Completed Projects by ladyalmalthea on: May 31, 2008 05:45:00 PM
For anyone who doesn't know, The Lost Boys sequel is coming out, and right now there is some viral marketing going on. frogbrosboards.com allowed use of the graphic, so I made a couple shirts...
I just bought irona transfer paper and edited the image as needed in Photoshop...

Me modeling my favorite one, and another, just close up lying down...

4  Tinkerbell costume for my chi in Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects by ladyalmalthea on: October 23, 2007 04:28:11 PM
Lurker, first time poster (I crochet too!)

I made this using pieces from Simplicity's 4325. The wedding dress top part was too small, so I used the shirt pieces, minus the sleeves.
I used the wedding dress skirt piece for the tulle, and then made separate 'petals' for the green skirt. Wings are two separate pieces of material, no wires (my dog chews) Sorry for the uncute face... she is sleepy right now!
Apologies also for not having pics in post!

Here is a closer- up of the wings, tied together with ribbon and sewn on
