1  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Stop sign table -more pics added ;) on: September 17, 2008 04:23:50 PM
I've been wanting to make one of these for years and I finally got to! When I saw this table I knew I had found a perfect match for my stop sign.

Before:

The stop sign is about 2 and a half ft wide.

After:

I covered the sign with a layer of clear contact paper so it's nicer to work/eat on.

2  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Screen Printing: Completed Projects / I love beer. Glow in the Dark Shirt. on: June 02, 2007 02:24:55 PM
Hi,
My name is Astrea and I love beer.  Cool

It glows in the dark. But I can't really get a good picture of the glow action with my dingy camera.

3  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Screen Printing: Discussion and Questions / ink jet transparencies not dark enough on: May 11, 2007 09:47:40 AM
I'm having trouble getting really black images with ink jet printers and transparencies.
I've heard that copy machines and laser printers etc are much better. Does anyone know if ink jet transparencies work well in laser printers/copy machines? I don't wanna brake the one i have at work haha.

also,
I've heard about printing out a image on regular paper and then dipping it in oil to make the white parts transparent and then using that as a transparency. Does this work well?

thanks
4  New York / New York: NYC and Long Island / places to sell in NYC/BKLYN. consignment shops & flea markets? on: April 24, 2007 08:49:45 PM
What are some good consignment shops and/or markets like the "young designers market" in soho, (which features tons of people and their handmade wares for sale) to sell things?

thanks! Smiley
