When my husband left for Iraq I moved back into my parents home where I am staying in my brothers old room... so with most of his stuff still in there and all of mine it was pretty bad anyway a month or so later and I'm completely settled in and it's MY ROOM NOW!!! Oh yeah, after living in military housing for so long it feels REALLY RELALY GOOD TO BE ABLE TO PAINT MY WALLS ANY COLOR I PLEASE!!!! : )

So, this is my second scrapbook and I like it a lot more than my first! I've noticed that my scrapbooking is a bit elementary as compared to all the other stuff I see here but I'm working on it! lol I would like all you guys here to know that I constantly browse your work! lol Anyway, my husband just left for Iraq and since we knew this was coming I started a scrapbook about us so when he's gone I can look back and;... well self-explanatory... anyway hope you guys like it and sorry for the quality of the pics crappy camera+ late night= not so great pics

So.. I recently quit my job because we are moving (again) and between packing and sleeping I made these! I'm kind of new to decorating gift bags and I think I'm already in a little bit of a rut lol!

I truly feel that the package the gift comes in matters just as much as the gift itself!!! So let me know what you guys think.. advice would be fantastic! Thanks! ; )

lol I made mine simple cause they were a gift for my little sister, made some "laces" from other color ribbons and made some cute (removable) charms with the left over fabric I cut off of the shoes. lol simple. not much talent required here. She loved them though. : ) so proud of myself. sorry for the low quality pic. this was actually taken with an old skool disposable camera ; ) lol

I made some more for my aunt who is turning 15 in a week! she loved the ones i made for my sister so i made her a pair for her very own!

And I would totally tell anyone who is thinking of doing this to go for it! it's super easy and you don't need much. but i found out the second time around that it would be easier to glue down the binding with fabric glue and then stitch over it cause it makes it a much neater finish and more professional looking. also, with the ribbon 'laces' i highly recommend you secure the edges with non-fraying glue so they stay laces and not end up a bunch of string. okay I'm done lol sorry! : )

I've always wanted to have a canopy bed like this one! it's great, only thing is I wouldn't know what to use at the top to mount the damn thing. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated (or the name of the type of canopy or something I can use to find it on the information super highway)! : )
