1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Help - need craft idea on: February 02, 2008 05:03:56 PM
I go to a playgroup where I was asked if I could come up with a craft/toy that parents can make for their child as a gift.  It will be on valentines, so it can be related to the occasion.
I was thinking a chick made of two pompoms, but maybe that is too Easter.
We will have little time, and kids will be playing in the room, so I'm not sure wet felting or needle felting would be good.

any ideas?

thanks
2  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Online source for silk brocade on: April 25, 2007 11:29:54 AM
I'm looking for decent priced silk brocade fabric to make a sling, so about two meters.  Any online sources, that ship to Canada?

Anyone know where I can find silk brocade fabric at a good price in Montreal?  I want it to make a sling.

Thanks
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / k3tog tbl on: April 11, 2007 07:48:30 AM
I'm making tiny mittens and my pattern calls for k3tog tbl

So far, I've found these two definitions on the web, which is right?  How do you do it?
I don't think I understand tbl very well either.

k3tog tbl - knit 3 sts together through back loops. (hint: slip first two sts as if to purl, knit next st through back loop, then pass the 2 slipped sts over)

k3tog tbl - knit three stitches together as one stitch through the back loop

thanks
