1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: Christmas 2009, what are you making? on: November 03, 2009 09:50:53 PM
Starting late!

1) Sister for Christmas (since our b-day is on the 20th): Cool ruffle shirts from here: http://rufflesandstuff.blogspot.com/2009/10/tutorial-2-ruffle-necklace-waffle-shirt.html:   I plan to use the packs of waffle knit shirts from Wally World and getting some waffle knit pants.  I can totally see her wearing them.  Smiley

2) Mom for Christmas: Book clock from here: http://rufflesandstuff.blogspot.com/2009/11/time-for-good-book.html (I'm addicted to that blog).  My mom collects old books, so I thought this would be cool!

3) My bestie: Fingerless mitts from here: http://rufflesandstuff.blogspot.com/2009/10/tutorial-fingerless-glovesfrom-socks.html I plan on doing various ones with lots of different coloured bows and charms.  Smiley

That's it for now.  I plan to pick stuff up tomorrow and Thursday to start.  Yay!
2  Halloween / Halloween Decor and Parties / Re: Instant Cemetery Decoration or is it time for halloween yet??? on: August 05, 2008 08:54:13 PM
Awesome, I LOOOOOOVE them, and would totally buy a set if you started selling them.  What a great tabletop decor!
3  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: The Spookey 4-foot Papier Mache Halloween Tree on: August 05, 2008 08:48:33 PM
This is the coolest tree EVER.

I have plans of doing my Hallowe'en decor NEXT year as an Unseelie/Haunted Forest, and this is GREAT inspiration.  I even added your post to my blog (if you want me to take it down, I will.....but I thought other Haunters would HAVE to see your amazing tree!).

4  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Loom knitted projects - show off your creations on: March 10, 2008 08:28:00 PM
Wow...I just found this thread now, and I'm so excited! I love the KK looms.

Here's a little mermaid doll I made on the blue loom...sorry about the bad pics.  Undecided

Anyway, just thought I'd toss her up on the board too!

-M

[Edit: Can you see them now?]

Awwww....I LOVE her!  So cute!

Here's a sweater I did on the red knifty knitter a few days ago for my Jack Russell, Cricket.  I didn't really follow a pattern, just kind of winged it.  She hates having her picture taken, but she likes her sweater!

That's the cutest thing I've ever seen!  AWwwwww!
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Knifty Knitter? on: March 10, 2008 08:15:33 PM
I bought a Knifty Knitter on Friday, and have so far made 4 scarves with it.  It is the long purple one.  I LOVE it.  I'm actually going to pick up the round ones tomorrow.  Smiley  I hope to find a book at Michaels for KK and/or looming.  Any recommendations?

Oh, and for funzies, here are the scarves I made (I haven't made enough posts in order to post pics, so you have to click the links):

Thicker wool at the ends with figure 8 stitch, and rest is thin gray and black wool in Stockinette stitch:

9  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / Re: Stencils for YOU!! on: February 27, 2007 03:23:02 PM
another easy way is to go to pumpkin carving sites! if you look for the carving patterns....like www.jack-o-lantern.com they have celbrities and stuff! and you're not weird! it WOULD be cool to have a GIANT thread about this! woohoo! also, someone else posted this site... **edit to remove non-working link** edit done by knitting_nyxxie stenciling moderator 02/23/07

Thank you for this link!  I want to do the kitchen in a black cat/witch theme, and these patterns are GREAT for a border! Smiley

I LOVE this!

When we move (in April) I plan to do the kitchen in a black cat/witch theme.  Smiley  I have all kinds of witch decorations, and plan to paint a border on the walls of witch hats and black cats.

Your kitchen is amazing, and totally inspiring!
