4  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Recommendations for a Beginner on: March 02, 2007 08:20:58 PM
I am simply so inspired by all the clothing that I have seen here.  So although I am a knitter I will begin to look into sewing.  I have been looking at a few sewing machines and I am really interested in the Pfaff Smart 100s or a singer machine 4220.  Does anyone have any sewing machine in particular that you would recommend for me.  Or what exactly I should look for before making my final decision.  I an interested in sewing bags an articles of clothing for myself, my daughter and my home.

Any recommendations would be really helpful.  I'm  hoping to get the sewing machine by next week. Roll Eyes

I've heard that it is definitely worth the trip....I've been dying to go but whenever I get up to Mass, the ride is about 2 hours long.  I'm the only knitter in my family Angry

Grin...I am super excited about this knit along...I have been eagerly anticipating this book.  Unfortunately the only pattern that I am interested in the pilot hat and accompanying gloves....I'd have to check the rest of the book though!!!
