1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Postcard Book on: July 04, 2010 06:00:42 PM
This is a post card-sized book I am working for my bf. To finish it off, I'll be adding some personal photos/ writing where the lined paper is. Then I'll bind it with some heavier card stock Smiley

2  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Magazine Envelopes! Recycling never look so gooood :D on: November 14, 2007 12:41:32 PM
Nothing fancy, but I had a lot of fun with these! Just carefully rip apart an existing envelope and use it as a template. Most of mine here are made from a Sephora catalog and some junk mail fliers.

Back: (I lined these with construction paper because that's all I had lying around...scrapbooking paper would have looked a lot nicer)

These were seriously addicting to make...especially while watching a movie or something. I'm going to use them to send out my Christmas cards this year. Smiley
3  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Turtle Onesie! Now with more pictures! on: October 24, 2007 05:08:30 PM
My boss and his wife are having a babyyy!

The idea behind the turtle is something of an inside joke and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out:

I whiped up a matching card, too...

three things: I haven't sewn on the heart button yet, he's missing an eye, and I haven't washed this one to see how it will hold up (I'm nervous!!) ... My plan is to make 3 more to go with this set, but rotating the various prints. What do you think?

I finally ran these through the wash test...and they passed! If I were to do these over, though, I would do a thicker stich around the applique (hand sewing, as it turns out, is not my forte...)

4  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / some fruitful Dumpster Diving :D on: April 24, 2007 09:32:08 AM
I'm a college student and I'll tell you, I've furnished most of my apartment with treasures I've found dumpster diving (is there a PC term for that? I kind of like Dumpster Diving...) A while back I hit the jackpot with a dresser...the drawers had ball barings and everything.

First a little background...I made this little number last year:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v213/fong_torres/products%20of%20my%20creativity/DSCN0539-1.jpg

and wanted a dresser to match, but not be too matchy.I LOVE my little two drawer, but this, I haven't decided whether I like it or not. A friend did the design, and I didn't want to hurt his feelings. What do you guys think?

5  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / We Travel the world over... on: April 24, 2007 09:23:11 AM
I caught on to the altered book craze a while ago, and after stumbling upon some old international postcards (holy cow the stamps were cool) I thought I'd give it a go.

Here's what I came up with so far...

And a close up of the left side:

(It reads : We travel the world over to find the beautiful)

6  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / 40 cent fabric find! on: February 24, 2007 12:37:13 AM
Even thought I don't support Wal-Mart, occasionally I find myself wandering the isles...and I came upon some lovely 40 cent fabric (score!) and after getting some inspiration from a fellow craftster, went to it.

Here's what I came up with:

And a close up on the flowers:

This was just a trial frame (it was 2am and I didn't feel like sewing, so I rocked out the duct tape...) The next one I want to work some beading in. What do you think?

This is the original inspiration (I don't have the name/link to this one, but I'd love to give some credit!)
