1291  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: 12" Crochet Square of the Month Craftalong - MARCH on: March 07, 2007 11:12:55 AM
Thank you all.  I am quite proud of my squares, though all my scrap yarn seems to be colours that I don't particularly like.  I'm thinking of using them to start a square binder which is an idea I got from (I believe) someone earlier in this thread.  Seems a great idea.

Only 8 more replies 'til I can post pictures.  Smiley

Well, I am new to Craftster (less than 3 wks) and I am new to crocheting (Thursday) but I was inspired to try a couple of these squares, even though I had absolutely no idea how to follow a pattern.  So thanks to those of you who did some explaining and my mother who received a few "what the hell does _____ mean?" phonecalls and sheer dogged perseverence on my own part, I have managed to finish the October and November easy squares.  I have also, in theory, figured out how to take and upload digital photos.  I'm no better at this than my old 35 mm camera, but oh well.  They are actually squarer than they appear in the pics, I promise.  So, now to the showing off (if these work).  Please pardon the dog hair.

Hmmm, apparently I am not allowed to post pics yet.  Okay, how bout I put them in LJ with a link?  Let's try that shall we?

I'm now working on a full size afghan, but I'll definitely get around to the other squares eventually.  I have plenty of crappy acrylic yarn to use up, plus I'm hooked (tee hee, I'm such a dork) on this whole crochet deal.
