I received from RhymeswOrange this week, yay.  I really don't understand how I can get a package from Denmark in 4 days but it takes 3 full weeks for something to cross the border from the US.  I really think Canada Post needs some European training.  But anyway, here's my awesome loot.

A crochet book and some yummy Burt's Bees stuff plus a beautiful, colourful tea wallet. 


A gorgeous, soft hat and scarf.  You know, I never make colourful stuff like this for myself thinking I'm more a dark/earth tones kind of chick, but I love it when people make them for me.  I haven't taken off the scarf in days. 


Handspun yarn!  Oh so lovely.  I need to come up with something very special to make with this.


Last but certainly not least, an art quilt inspired by my wist.  It's just so perfect.  I absolutely love trees and silhouettes and these beautiful blues and greens are my favourite colours.

I received from pseudo_pix on Friday, but today is the first time the sun has come out for (my attempt anyway) a good picture.  I still can't believe her package arrived from Denmark in 4 days!  It'll probably take Canada Post 4 WEEKS to get a package back to her.  Anyway, here's the loot.  Gorgeous sock yarn and bonus stuffing.  I think I'm going to make myself some lovely welly socks, mud season is almost here.    Thanks again pseudo!

I received yesterday from Slingmomma.  She made me a beautiful eyemask that I can put in the freezer.  It's a lovely fabric too. 



She also made me two awesome fabric scarves - one winter one with two cute little zipper pockets and one light summery one.  So pretty, see.

7. Cookies for Library Open House



Of course I forgot to take a picture until it was 2 a.m. and the cookies were already packed and ready to go but here's a crappy photo anyway.  Four dozen each of triple chocolate, peanut blossom, cherry and heart-shaped sugar cookies for the local library.  Hope there's lots of hungry readers today.   

Those are such pretty fingerless gloves! 

I received from my partner stepharella on Monday.  She claims to be new at crocheting, but she made me this gorgeous scarf and cozy slippers and she doesn't look like a beginner at all to me.  I absolutely love this shade of brown and it goes so nicely with the pink and cream and green.  Just beautiful. 

I took an action photo but it just made apparent how long it's been since I shaved my legs, so here's my floor modeling instead.  Thanks so much stepharella, it was great swapping with you.

Hello everyone.  I'm new to StS and very excited to be participating.  It's been a long time coming.  I live and craft in the middle of nowhere, also known as Northwestern Ontario, Canada.  I have cats and dogs and I shed quite a bit myself, but I'm pretty handy with a washing machine and a lint roller if I do say so myself; so hopefully allergies won't be an issue.  I have the attention span of a gnat, which is why I like to make random things that pop into my head or follow patterns that make me say “Oooo shiny”.  Rarely do I know what to do with these things when I'm done so StS seems to be an awesome way to find homes for my stuff.  I'd be happy to do custom work or recreate things from my shop in different sizes/colours/etc., but I can't promise I'll be quick.

Crafts

Two point items

Baby blanket, crocheted in heather shades of blue, green, pink and yellow.  Nice and thick, perfect for putting between baby and floor.  


One point items

Patchwork Granny Dog -acrylic, approximately 14x15"


Shawl or cowl.  I didn't have quite as much yarn as I thought so this shawl ended up a bit on the short side (66 inches long).  I have just enough yarn left to sew it up into a cozy cowl though if you'd like.  The yarn is a wool/something blend (probably acrylic) with no label.  I washed it on delicate and dried it flat and it seems fine, quite warm and soft.


Newsboy hat in purple and black acrylic.  A terrible picture I know, but it's the best I could get.  It's more of a “puffy” style newsboy that the close-fitted style, fits a normal adult size head (I will measure it soon).


Sunhat in rose/green/white cotton.  Floppy bucket style, made on the large size because I hate tight fitting hats, especially in the heat, but it is cotton so could probably be shrunk a bit.


Stocking cap in red/black


Coming soon - pillows and toys, another baby blanket, golf club covers and whatever else catches my fancy.

Only two years late, but here's my finished lapghan - joined and bordered and DONE.  Yay!

I received my lovely art from llisaredd today.  Can't wait to start assembling my wall o'embroidery.  Just have to get over my fear of drywall.

Okay, absolutely no idea why some of the pictures are big and some are small - taken with the same camera, uploaded to same computer, posted from same site.  I hate technology.  

I'm sorry I haven't been participating more in this swap/discussion.  I always mean to and then life gets in the way.  I seriously can't remember the last time I worked less than 80 hours a week.  It's been years.  Many years.  Perhaps I've won 50 million dollars tonight.  I promise to take a day off if I do. 

Anyway, the majority of my crafting time has been taken up with the IYP swap, but I'm wondering about what I should try and make for my shop.  Would there be any interest in crochet food/kitchen stuff?  I made this set last year (?) or so and it was enough fun that I could make some more.  Anyone?
