1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Lace Butterfly on: April 05, 2009 10:25:28 PM
So, despite my my goal to finish a project before I start a new one (ha ha ha), I started this lace butterfly because it was pretty, and I was thinking I could make it for the mother of one of my lesson students. (I teach trumpet lessons) I think it turned out really great. I had to iron it out, because it kept folding in, but otherwise, not too bad!

I found the pattern here: http://www.mypicot.com/

2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Pets! on: March 21, 2009 09:35:42 PM
These are a couple of cross stitch things I made from a book I bought at hobby lobby that has all sorts of birds, fish, cats and dogs in it.  One is for a friend with like, 5 saltwater aquariums. The cat is my Siamese kitten named Ophelia. I am working on one now for my other cat, Katie.

I'm sorry the pictures are a little blurry, my camera sucks at taking pictures of anything closer than 3 feet away. Sad
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Pattern ideas for a recital dress on: January 21, 2008 08:17:03 PM
I need some pattern suggestions for a dress for my senior recital. I want something formal, but not too flashy. My professor is kind of a stick in the mud when it comes to baring skin. If it were up to him, we'd be wearing long sleeved, high necked, super long dresses. But it's not.

Any suggestions?
4  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / I think I know what I want to be for halloween... on: October 04, 2007 08:05:16 PM
Does anyone remember the cartoon Daria, that used to be on MTV? I can't decide if I want to be Daria or Jane (Im an art major, so Jane makes some sense) I can't decide though! Either way I'd need combat boots, which I can't find anywhere. Any suggestions?  Huh
5  CLOTHING / Sewing Pattern Reviews / Simplicity 4391 on: April 23, 2007 12:57:24 PM
So I found a pattern I really like so I could make myself a messenger bag, and was wondering if anyone else had tried this pattern. Thanks!
