These are great... but I have a serious soft spot for Harry Potter

Oh man... this would be so great for a first swap... but I don't know how long it would take me to make things, and I do have a lot of things coming up because of school ending... I might need some convincing haha.

I wouldn't know about wool, but I do know that a knitted panta looks like your sewn version. Maybe add it to your list for a personal swap?
624  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Dobby Hat Knitalong anyone? on: April 09, 2007 06:15:13 AM
Hehe- woops. It's ok, I had to add two stitches to make the ribbing even and and extra row in the CC to keep the stst going. The pattern was really confusing at it's written.

Yeah. Would you happen to be talking about the stretch that happens with the ribbing? I could see why some might not like the look, but it doesn't bother me. Smiley

Nevermind- I'm too stupid to go look up a glossary and realize it simply means stockinette... doh.

I started the second color today however... my first color change ever! I'll post some photos when I get the chance!

I do have a siggestion- would a panta work? I'm not sure if you knit, but there are patterns for them on the website. I don't know how they would hold up with dreads though

YAY! Interest!

I've have to frog the bottom section three times already- once because i had strting knitting backwards in the middle of a row, then another because I realized that the CO stitches did not make the ribbing match up and then once more because i stitched k4p4p4k4 instead of the alternating stiches... very frustrating for a beginner.

Also, since I really only know knit and purl, could anyone tell me what stst means? is that just another term for kp or kk?

Well, I'm a novice to everything knit, being a crocheter for so long. I was wondering if anyone would like to give me some company, and help when needed for this adorable pattern:
