1  Just found the first purse I ever made. in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Spawnie on: February 23, 2007 02:41:37 PM
I used to be into the "hippie" crap when I was in highschool. So I made this purse out of some crap material I found in my grandma's basement. The front designs were supposed to be mushrooms... they kind of look like "mens members" though now that I look at them LOL

2  Just ran across my first project from way back when in Crochet: Completed Projects by Spawnie on: February 23, 2007 02:37:57 PM
I was digging through my closet today and came across some forgotten purses I made back in highschool!  Shocked I remember I was big on the "hippie" look.  Roll Eyes So yeah, the colors are GROSS! But I loved them back in the day! LOL

Thought I would share my dorkiness with you guys!  Tongue

3  50'sStyleGoth-PunkVoodoo apron. LOL in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Spawnie on: February 21, 2007 01:56:32 PM
Hello, I received this link from a friend who said I could get some real feedback here.

A little background about the apron. It was made out of anger... in a good way.  Cheesy My work area in my apartment is very small, and while I was attempting to sew I would lose everything. So I decided to make my apron fetish (And when I say fetish, I mean I own 50+ aprons and I love them) work for me. I started the designs for this to be a "modestly sexy" 50's feel apron, but somehow got twisted into the skull covered voodoo brainchild I created.

Some features of the apron:
~Top pocket has been segregated into 5 smaller pockets
  1. Earbud excess cord pocket
  2. Fabric Pen Pocket
  3. Dressmaker Pencil Pocket
  4. Increment Ruler Pocket
  5. Glasses Pocket Roll Eyes
~Scissor Pocket, lined at tip with leather
~Rotary Cutter Pocket
~Medium sized Misc. Pocket (for ripper, thimble, chapstick  Wink, etc.)
~iPod pocket, with sewn in headphone hookup jack. Male end comes out of the apron at the top of iPod pocket. Female end comes out at top of apron for headphone hook up.
~Cell Phone Pocket
~And the piece de resistance, the voodoo doll pin cushion. Also leather fitted underneath so I don't stab myself.  Cheesy

The decor was all hand stitched (by yours truly) and made to look hasty. Because, let's face it. You don't normally make voodoo dolls out of love. Hahahaa!

Special Thanks to Marty Flint for leatherwork on scissor pocket and pin cushion. Kiss
