I think I have managed about three "decent" French knots in the entire time I have been stitching. This kinda makes you my hero Wink

AMAZING

The French knot corners are a great detail and the frame is lovely. Great stuff!

Very cool. The skyline is well defined, especially for being only a couple of stitches high!

The sheep are cute and I REALLY like the alphabet. The colors go well and there's a very simple, almost hand-drawn look to it.

But I really love your "love". I couldn't do half that many french knots in 3 years, let alone three days! I am not much of a knotter so I am always impressed by pieces that use a lot of french knots. The way they spread out like sand is a really cool effect. Your choice of color, fabric and font really add to it, too. I just really like that piece. Possibly because I make things for my daughters walls and wish I had made that  Grin

Thank you for sharing.

If I had made this for a swap for someone, I would certainly make one for myself, too!!   Cheesy

I thought it had a very traditional blackwork (and redwork) feel. It is very well done and a very neat piece.

These are really cool. Very clean and the colors are nice.

And thanks for the link to the pattern source, I found some neat stuff!
30  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / I Know Why The Stitched Bird Sings on: April 30, 2014 10:56:43 PM
I came across these small decorative cages at the craft store a few months back and immediately had the urge/thought to make a little bird and put it inside. I was already working on another project and not sure if it was a whim or not so I left the cage there. After a couple more trips I ended up with the cage and a pattern book of pets and animals. I put a blue parakeet inside.

I haven't done any serious backstitching in a while and am so glad I did. I have another cage so I may do another bird.

Thanks for looking.
