Very nice!  Where do you buy charms?  I've had such a problem finding places that sell nice ones.

Thanks for the links and tips!!  I think I'm ready to give it another go, only now I must venture to the bead shop and pick up some bent nose pliers!  Smiley

I looooooove the green one!  How did you find the patience and design eye to do that?   Wink

Oh my!  I love projects like these that utilize very simple round-the-house items in a neat way.  I envy the button bracelets!   Grin

Yours is definitely nicer!  UO's just reminds me of Family Guy!

Someone above mentioned using marbles.  I wonder how this would work if you used crazy colored marbles and a meshy more transparent fabric for the knotting?
7  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Wire wrapped loop without hand-wrapping? on: March 03, 2007 05:18:47 PM
Doing it with my fingers usually results in a MESS!  I've tried using my round nose pliers to pull the wrapping wire tightly around but that just gets awkward.

Anyone who's got a stellar technique please heeeeelp!  Because of this problem I just scratched one of my beautiful swarovski pearls and I'm bummed because it's the only one I have in that size.   Sad
8  UNITED STATES / North Carolina / Re: Who's in Asheville??? on: March 01, 2007 08:44:45 AM
I'm in West Asheville Cheesy  I've only been here since July '06.  My girlfriend's parents, brother (and his wife and son) lived here, so it was very great to move here with them.  I love it here so much!!  But I don't know anyone either.  I just don't know how to meet like-minded folks.   Cry

Making A Light Box or Light Tent: http://forums.about.com/n/pfx/forum.aspx?tsn=1&nav=messages&webtag=ab-jewelrymkg&tid=34437&redirCnt=1

At the bottom of the article, there are samples of photos taken with the light box and they are FANTASTIC.  I haven't tried this method myself yet but I can vouch for the theory.  I work for a clock company and when we photograph our clocks, we use big white foam boards to reflect the light into the clock for color accuracy, clarity, and so you can't see us in the pendulums Cheesy

Best of luck with your photographs!!

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!  These are fantastic!  I love that you used the box from an old board game.  It's such a cute box too!

I don't know if you've heard of this, but there is an artist here in Asheville who uses six pack boxes to make book covers.  They're super cute as well!  I have one from a Kirin Ichiban box.   Grin
