11  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Craft My Theme Round 2 Gallery on: November 05, 2007 01:20:54 PM
I received from Tuesday!

She sent lovely, matching items from my cooking/recipe theme.

She made a hot pad and oven mitt, a recipe holder with recipe cards inside, and a apron that I have been wearing around all day.

She also sent chocolates and an orange cranberry scone mix that I can't wait to try.

I will post pics tomorrow (I have to get my camera back from my mom).
Wait till you see, I can't describe the gifts and do them justice.

Thanks Tuesday.  And thanks to our organizers!

Mrs. Tricky
12  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Re: here's the 700 piece qilt top I've been talking about! on: October 30, 2007 03:54:09 PM
What a beautiful, beautiful quilt.

I've used flat sheets before and I liked the result.  I picked out really nice sheets though.

Good luck.

I'm still learning how to quote too!
14  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / Re: Sublime Intials on: September 27, 2007 09:30:45 PM
My MIL made me several beautiful, big baby blankets for my girls.  I thought I would try one for my neighbors' brand new baby boy.

Here is the fabric.  It's printed flannel.  The whole blanket is approx. 1 square yard.  These big blankets are great for mummy-wrapping babies.

I stitched in the baby's intials.  This is the Sublime Stitching part of the project.  I love adding a little somethin' somethin' to my projects.

After I sewed two pieces right sides together and turned it inside out, I stitched a border using my sewing machine.  I just wish I had used a different style.  Next time...

Thanks for looking.
What a great start. Do you have any plans to do some more embroidery?
Yes.  I do just small things as I am still learning.  But this is so fun, I hope to work up to bigger and better things.

17  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / Shorts - Sublimely Spiced Up on: September 24, 2007 10:01:20 PM
I found these cute shorts for $7, but they were too plain for my daughter.  The shorts had one small gray embroidered butterfly on them.  I added two more butterflies and 3 more vines.  Patterns came from the Sublime Stitching book, of course.  Now they are more of my daughter's style.

Pic of the largest butterfly...

Pic of one of the vines and the butterfly already there...

Off to school...

Thanks for looking.  Sublime stitchin' is really addictin.'

Mrs. Bookie receive the pkg. I sent and said I could post pics.  Here is the recipe book.  Sorry, I know the pics are dark.  I took the pics late at night.

And I included some pasta and spices for making Cappellino Primavera, my fave low-fat, low-cal recipe.

Hope you enjoy, Mrs. Bookie.

Received from kitty93 a couple of days ago.  Thanks.  This postcard makes me wish I was there in Bali. Smiley
