3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: sewing+crochet+painting= 2 hoodies on: August 30, 2007 09:33:06 PM
thanks for all your great comments and to answer to a couple of question
- no i didn't had any trouble sewing the crochet part, i sew it on like it was any other kind of fabric
- i didn't use any pattern but i used one of my own jacket as a reference
- the second one is more a loose turtleneck than a hoodie (taking in consideration that there isn't any hood Wink)

hey i've been travelling all summer so i learn to crochet and i found a cool way to add this new technique to my creations. since i greatly dislike hemming i just add a piece of my handmade crochet fabric Wink

my to hoodies are lined with some felt to make them extra warm.

hope you like it Smiley

8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / summer dress!!! on: May 29, 2007 06:27:13 AM
okay, so, I had two weeks free of school and work before I leave for the summer so i figured out I should have the time to give an afternoon to ms sewing machine and mr iron. i also have tons of fabric already so i didn't need to go to the fabric store. i went to my boxes of goods and found this cute little peach one and new exactly want i wanted to do with it.
so here is what i come up with. a flawless summer dress to wear to all kinds of summer events Wink (i especially love barbecues)

OMG you are so cool for making those! What kind of glue did you use?

thanks Grin
but there is no glue on this babies... those are just hand-sew. i thought of using glue but i then figured out that it would have made them much more fragile and less waerable. sewing the ribbons on them makes it more durable... well i think since i've just wore them to a fast trip to the grocery (whats best than wearing nice shoes when your getting haagen daz... dunno)
