1  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Introduce Yourself / Do you have a Timblr or Pinterest? on: March 15, 2012 11:26:59 AM
Not sure if this is the right spot for this post, I have been lurking for a few years now, but only posted maybe 3 or 4 projects. It has been a while since I have been on the site, so I am not new, but returning.

I recently discovered pinterest and tumblr and would love to connect with people who make and share cool stuff. Some of the crafting and home decor stuff is fun, but it's all kinda the same, I looking for the unique craftster projects!

Here is my Pinterest:

And I just started a craft/decorating/gardening Tumblr:

I don't want to step on anyone's toes, so if there is something on either of them that you have made or own let me know and I'll give you credit, I don't always know the source of things.

Let's share!
Thanks Guys!

This is such a great idea! I am needing to do some garden edging and painted wood seems way more appealing than those scalloped concrete things you always see. Thanks!

4  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Help with paper mache planter pot on: March 07, 2012 01:58:21 AM
Hello,
I want to make my own swan planter and was thinking that paper mache would be good for sculpting it. But my question is about sealing it for use as a planter, with water and everything. I have not worked much with sealers and stuff like that. What do you think? Would paper mache work or is there something else? I don't really want to use clay, because if it is not the actual bake in kiln kind it breaks down outside. Please let me know!

Here is a pic of what I want to make:

Thanks everyone!
Stacy

PS any ideas for other animals?!

I really like your hat, it is so cute. If you get really good you could probably sell them at conventions or something.
