2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Ah...ambition and WIPs... on: July 16, 2010 07:32:21 AM
I'm working on a second slipper right now. I'm really bad at projects like this, slippers, socks, whatever there is two of! They are for a gift, so I have to finish them though. I was actually on here looking for motivation!!

I totally agree with what striker said in her post- life is too short, if you aren't going to finish a project, totally rip it out and do something different! Once I gave myself permission to do that, it was very freeing.

Shocked I love buttons too!! I would love to have that many buttons. So far though, I've only been collecting extra buttons off clothes. I really need to kick it up a notch! Thank you for sharing!!
9  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Discussion and Questions / Re: New to loom beadwork on: July 13, 2008 07:57:26 AM
Well, after searching and searching, I think I figured out that I need size B nylon thread and size 11 Delica beads should work fine.

I need practice weaving in those ends though. I really wrecked my last project because of all the ends. I'll keep practicing though and figure out what works best for me.

10  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Discussion and Questions / New to loom beadwork on: July 11, 2008 08:43:30 PM
I just got a kit to make Bead Loom Bracelets and fell in love with it!! Now I want more beads! The kit came with size 10 seed beads, but I want to get more. I would also like to get different colored thread. What are the best supplies to get for this kind of bead work?

Thank you!!
