31  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / The State cross stitch on: January 03, 2010 08:08:53 AM
Ah, The State. The State was on MTV when they actually still played music videos with a few shows sprinkled between. I loved that show. And one of my favorite characters was Doug.

"My name is Doug. And I'm outta heeeeeeere..."

I wish there were still shows like this. But hey, there's always the box set Cheesy

Comments/criticisms welcome!
32  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Jam out with your clam out! on: January 03, 2010 08:03:40 AM
I've been meaning to do this one for a while but I was on the hunt for the perfect clam cross stitch design. I never found it.

But ya know? I don't think I needed it. I think it turned out pretty nicely!

Comments & criticisms welcome!

34  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Color tinted Keyboard Cat on: November 30, 2009 02:19:46 PM
So I decided to try something a little different for this Keyboard Cat embroidery & color tinted it! I think it's my favorite version yet  Smiley

Comments & critiques are welcome!

I wish I could give a better description but my brain is tired.

37  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / NSFW! Frog Mario saves lives on: November 09, 2009 01:02:45 PM
Water levels on video games are notorious for being hard & a huge pain. I can't tell you how many times this phrase has come out of my mouth, especially in Super Mario Bros games. That's why I love Frog Mario soo much! And that's why I made this  Smiley

38  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Thou Shalt Mosh on: November 08, 2009 09:32:53 AM
Continuing the trend of church-y bible-y mockery....the lesser known 11th commandment!  Cheesy

This cross stitch was inspired by one of my husband's old T-shirts Cheesy
39  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Go to church or the devil will get you! on: November 02, 2009 07:04:33 PM
I made this for one of my friends & is inspired by an actual sign in my home state of Alabama. Yep, only in the bible belt, guys.

And I didn't even notice until I was almost done that it's almost a perfect heart shape! Score!

Now I'm thinking...should I add the exclamation point? Or just leave it as is? Lemme know what you guys think, comments are welcome! Smiley
40  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Scarves! on: October 07, 2009 04:28:11 PM
So I've been trying to do a little more knitting lately & whipped up a few scarves

Knit in an open work pattern to kinda show off the textures

This one was done in seed stitch...I wish you could see the detail better!

My favorite...big, chunky, and I really like the color Smiley
Please excuse the sassy "hand on the hip" in every picture! I'm kind of awkward haha Grin
I've had some requests to do some vegan scarves so I've been knitting with bamboo yarn lately & I think it's my new favorite! Sooo much softer than acrylic.
