123  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / Brass Knuckles, Skull & Bones, Roses, NSFW on: May 01, 2008 09:45:24 PM
so i've been feeling rather hostile & aggressive lately...i blame it on stress.
instead of taking it out on anybody, why not just stitch it up? i finally finished after about a day and a half..i've been practicing making purty stitches Smiley

anyway! hope you like what was the outcome of quite a bit of frustration! haha

as you can probably tell, i had originally started adding some french knots, but didn't like the way they looked too much...so i cut em out

it's definitely my new favorite thing, i'm proud!

126  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / f*ck cancer (word warning) on: April 18, 2008 11:16:57 PM
my dad found out about a week & a half ago that he has cancer..needless to say, it's been really hard on my family, not to mention a complete shock since my dad is kind of a health nut. so i had to make this to aptly describe how i feel about it..hope my dad likes it! funny thing is, i think i'm taking it harder than he is.

i think people with tattoos and piercings can appreciate the sentiment   Smiley

i've been thinking about what to make for my buddy/tattoo artist to put in his shop for a while, and finally came up with this...

i'm a wee bit disappointed with the bottom, the lettering is a little messy..but i just ordered jenny's tattoo alphabet, so no more tracing with graphite paper! i had kind of a hard time with the bottom swallow too. all in all, though, i'm happy with how it turned out!

i'm still trying to decide whether i should fill in the lettering or not.
129  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / simple scarf on: April 09, 2008 09:23:03 PM
