22  Dia De Los Muertos skull in Needlework: Completed Projects by RachelKristin on: August 24, 2010 05:05:27 PM
Whew! This one took some work! It was a lot of fun to do & got me back into embroidery shape, hopefully!

All hand embroidered, mostly satin stitch with a little backstitch & split stitch action. Comments & critiques are welcome!

This one turned out looking a little dingy, but it doesn't look like that in real life.

24  Sailor Beware! Sailor Jerry hand embroidered tattoo flash in Needlework: Completed Projects by RachelKristin on: August 19, 2010 04:17:40 PM
So it's been a verrrry long time since I posted anything on here! I figured since I recently picked up embroidering again, I might as well post my finished embroideries! I've done a whole bunch of cross stitches, but you can check my flickr page if ya wanna see them  Smiley

I'm still a little rusty with embroidery since I really haven't done it in about a year, but I really like the way she turned out.

It's mostly just backstitch, satin stitch, & french knots for the ruffles on her dress.

Lemme know what you think! Comments are welcome  Smiley

25  Re: Post your CRAFTY Tattoos! in Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects by RachelKristin on: July 17, 2010 02:36:02 PM
This is my new favorite tattoo...the meaning behind it is every day is a new beginning, it's never too late to start over. Rip out the old & start fresh!

26  Om Sweet Om in Needlework: Completed Projects by RachelKristin on: January 25, 2010 02:35:39 PM
This was made for a friend of mine. It was nice to be embroidering again & although I wish it wasn't crooked & slightly off center, I'm pretty happy with it!

27  Sir Owl in Needlework: Completed Projects by RachelKristin on: January 25, 2010 02:32:00 PM
I haven't embroidered in a while but after making the Om Sweet Om towel for my friend I realized how much I missed it!

I tried to try a different color scheme, like vintage-type colors...I don't know if I actually hit the mark or not but I'm really happy with the way it turned out!
It's mostly back stitch but his eyes are all in split stitch

I've been on a matching thread/matching frame kick lately & these are the results  Smiley Simple, but I dig 'em!

29  Custom cross stitch FOR the Tan Man on Tim & Eric Awesome Show!!! in Needlework: Completed Projects by RachelKristin on: January 10, 2010 01:01:26 PM
So the other day I got a message on facebook....FROM THE TAN MAN ON TIM & ERIC AWESOME SHOW!!! He was interested in one of my pieces for his character & of course I was waaaay more than happy to oblige! I did some serious geeking out & got to work! In return for the cross stitch, I refused money & instead I'm getting signed pictures AND I have a new greeting for my voicemail! He even made a little promo for my Etsy too! Gah, I am STILL freaking out about it! Anyway, here's what I made for him  Grin

I'm really happy with it & I hope he likes it too!

30  Tim & Eric Awesome Show in Needlework: Completed Projects by RachelKristin on: January 03, 2010 08:19:13 AM
I seriously love love love the Tim & Eric Awesome Show. It's so nonsensical & ridiculous! And the songs! Anyways, this is inspired by another one of their songs. If you don't know what chubs("It's like a mini bone, a tiny little tent") are or just feel like watching the song, go here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iEm2YoSd750  Cheesy
