1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / First Ever... Only One Picture! on: April 16, 2008 08:58:56 PM
So this dress gave me plenty of problems.  It's the infinity dress.  I wanted to give it a shot with some cheaper fabric.  I think I've got it now.  I made a tube top and added darts then attatched the skirt to that.  I didn't angled the straps enough, which I am not too worried about since I have my tube, but I will not make the same mistake with the next one!  I am not sure if I want to leave the skirt as is, or cut it too a circle... decisions decisions.

2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: knit police tape (IMG heavy!) on: April 16, 2008 08:54:45 PM
oh my gosh I love it!  I don't know that I would be able to make this, but it is awesome!  My boyfriend is a police officer, maybe I will give it a shot... eventually!

5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / 50's style dress on: March 23, 2008 07:34:36 PM
This summer we are going to a 50's style wedding and I really really want to have the perfect dress, so I thought, why not make one?  I haven't done much sewing, t-shirt recons and my main "craft" is knitting.  So this will be something very new.  I am looking for any good patterns or suggestions, anything that would help me find someplace to start!  thanks!

6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / What Should I do With This Shirt? on: March 23, 2008 03:13:24 PM
I got this shirt for christmas and it just isn't my style.  I love the color, but the collar AND the sleeves together is just not my thing.  Not to mention it is plus plus size.  The sleeves are pretty  big on me anyway.  Any suggestions?

I don't know how far west you are, but there is a great little place in Avon called Birds of a Feather, it's set up in an old barn and the offer a lot of really cool classes.  The downstairs is all quilting and the upstairs is all yarn.  If you are ever out this way check it out.
