1  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / My Janome Serger hates me!! please help!!! on: June 11, 2011 10:44:33 PM
I have a janome 660D, there is no where online with any trouble shooting or manuals for this model, I can't keep the second needle threaded the thread keeps breaking and screwing up the rest of the stitches, life would be much easier if i did not have to use my sewing machine to put the reinforcing stitch in.
The model that is closest to mine is the 8002D.
If anyone has any suggestions i would love to hear them.
I have had this machine for almost 3 years and never been able to use it to its full capacity.

2  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Gnome/Garden themed babys room on: April 04, 2008 06:44:36 PM
Hey everyone, i was wondering if anyone out there would be able to help me... i am designing my babies nursery (twins due august 8th) in a garden theme, and i cant seem to find a good drawing of a gnome online anywhere.. i was thinking that maybe a embroidery pattern or a stencil or anyone who has any ideas could help me out.. i want to paint it on the green walls, then we are putting up some of that dollar store plastic garden picket fencing and then some flowers and mushrooms with it.. anyone who helps me out here would be an absolute angel in my books

this room was once designeated my "craft room"
but will se better days as a nursery
thanks alot
(p.s.) i'll be taking pics of the progression of the room.. its neon pink and blue right now (don't ask)

i forgot how low the ceiling is and when i stood up i smacked my head... then i started laughing because it has been so long since i did that..

8  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Drapes on: April 06, 2007 07:39:32 PM
My mom and i were at the local Wal~Mart looking for drapes for a closet door and an old doorway that we are no longer using (due to the fact that my parents bought a couch too big for the living room and we had to block the door off.)  and all the curtains we found started at $30.00.
we didn't have that large of a budget to work with sooooo

i went to the fabric department and picked up some kind of material (i am not good with knowing what type of materials i am using)  but it had a bit of shine, it was dark on the back and it has some stretch... hey it worked for me the color was a match and the price was even better $1.97 a meter.  We got 5 meters and i made these..

9  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Completed Projects / Tank top Recon on: March 26, 2007 10:00:04 AM
I was looking through all the Tshirt Recons cuz most of my shirts shrink when i wash them.. and i came up with an idea and tried it out.. let me know what you think..

it started off as a medium tank top my sister bought that was HUGE (we are talking like 2x instead of medium) and i dont really like it cuz it was so plain, but i loved the material and the design on the front.

so i cut out a round opening in the back and added some laces to tie it up and now i think i found my new favourite top!!!

also i had been to the dollar store one day and saw those cute little bunny ear headbands.. and thought to myself i want a sweater like all the little girls have with ears on it, so i created my own.
i took the ears off the headband and removed the wire cuz i wanted them floopy, then i decided on one side where i wanted it and then drew a line. i then folded the hood over along the seam and pinned the line i drew giving myself the same place to draw the other line.  then i took it to the trustly old sewing machine and stitched it up.

i also think if i had more pink funfur that it would look cute if i lined the edges of the pockets with it too. sorry i dont have any pics of it in process, the camera had no batteries and it was one of those middle of the night i cant sleep kinda things.
