22  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Re: old book to journal problem on: August 12, 2007 12:23:13 AM
Do you have any tips for how to do that? I tried recently and most of my pages didn't stay as smooth and are wavy.

When I am doing altered books, sometimes I like to glue several pages together to make thicker pages, then I don't have to re-do the signatures.
23  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Melted bead suncatchers on: August 10, 2007 04:17:22 AM
I went looking for beads today to melt! lol They had bags of 100 pieces and 500 pieces. I'm pretty sure I'll need the larger size bag, but I was curious about how many pieces it takes to make one suncatcher of the cake pan size.

Those are so cute!

What temperature and for how long did you melt them?

I love the tea dyed pages. How did you do that?
29  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Re: anyone have a tute for a sock monkey??-toe socks?? on: May 07, 2007 10:54:57 PM
I love your toe-sock monkeys! They have little mohawks! lol

Hi there! For the toe socks the only tricky part is the mouth. Since there is no heel on toe socks (and that's the part of the sock you make the mouth out of) you sort of have to improvise  Smiley ! Just take your leftover pieces (after you've cut out all the rest of the parts) and make a mouth. Here's one I made, he was feeling very punk I think  Wink ! Have fun and remember it's just socks, you can always get another pair!

This is my first toe sock monkey, I think his mouth looks more like a snout, he's very cow-like! Ah, well!
