I'm figuring it out as I go, using mostly the woolworks formula. It's Patons Classic Merino in New Denim on U. S. size 8 needles and so far I love it more than just about anything else I own.

I finished my hat too - and it fits this time! Only took 3 tries.

It looks like he's squishing our cat to death, but I promise he isn't. She hates having her picture taken, but there's so much of her knitted into the hat that I thought it only appropriate she be in the picture too.

A few months back, my fiance and I got very excited over this thread and made a bunch of them. Then, I made the brilliant observation, "You know, I could do those in single crochet, too," and the birthday blanket was born. I'm quite proud of it - it's the first blanket like this I've ever tried - and I'm telling everyone:
