Oh my God these are gorgeous - especially the beige flower one.

Well done you  Grin.

P.S. I'm trying to look for your messenger bag tute but can't find it anywhere - can you remember what you titled it or where it is - any help is greatly appreciated.

With thanks.

I'm sorry - but I didn't read/hear the part about you being a bad sewer.  These are great - well done you!  Grin

6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: lotsa slings. for slinging. on: October 09, 2007 01:22:29 AM
Well done - these look great - and yes I do believe they would sell.

I am assuming by the photos that the strap is sewn on the back.  I did something similar with a one strap and sewed one part on the front of the bag and the other on the back so it looks crossed (did that make any sense at all?)

I like the look of the rings.  The strap looks like webbing - is it adjustable?  And the bag looks big in length - what are the dimensions out of curiosity?

I like the black one with what looks like purple patchwork going across it.

Great job - well done you  Grin.

What a gorgeous bag - and the colours are beautiful - well done you  Grin.

Purples and lilacs are my favourite colours so I like this bag alot - and I know what you mean about fat quarters - I have heaps of them and don't know what to do with them - now you have given me an idea - thank you  Cheesy.

This is great - well done you  Grin.  With the beaded handle and the lining fabric (which I also like Cheesy) it has a 'vintage' look and feel to it - if you know what I mean.

Excellent for a first time.
9  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Tutorial: Zipper pocket (messenger bag & jordy bag) on: October 07, 2007 01:40:52 PM
For someone who has only been sewing for a week you have done a fantastic job on both bags - so well done you  Grin.

As for sewing something everyday for practice - keep it up because your skills will get and be better.

A big fat congrats to you!!!

This is a great design and I love it.  As for the paint not blending well with the fabric - I think it adds to the effect.

Well done you  Grin.
