1  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Craftster Picture Hosting Support / Is there a reason to link rather than to embed? on: April 10, 2007 04:07:50 PM
or whatever its called?
Why do I see some pictures, hosted at photobucket, and some links TO photobucket? If people are gonna take the time to find the url and link it, why not just get the img and just put the pic in here? What am I missing?
2  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / What can you craft with THIS...swap! on: March 30, 2007 12:07:54 PM
ok, I havent got the credentials to organize a swap yet, but if someone wanted to organize it, I'd be happy to join it as my second swap... Heres my idea: (maybe its been done?)

We each would list 5 to 10 crafty things that we like to do...then we would get paired with a partner, who would send us a kit of supplies to complete a project.
We would have however long to complete it and then get pictures up to show what we made with the goodies! We could make it so the sender could go by the persons current craft ability, OR they could toss in a surprise, and send something not listed, as long as it came with complete instructions on how to work it, or begin, or whatever.

Example, if someone had listed several things, but sculpey clay was not on the list, I could send her a couple blobs of clay, and complete baking instructions. If knitting was on her list, I could send a pair of circular chunky needles, and a skein of yarn.
Does this sound like fun or what?Smiley
3  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Suggest New Boards and New Features / Seed Bead, NOT Stranded bead projects. on: March 23, 2007 12:43:19 AM
I'd love to see a separate folder for non loomed, non stranded bead work. Art pieces, Freeform Peyote, hand beaded creations. I appreciate that not everyone wants to do that kind of work, but I'd like to be able to see it and not have to sift through the stranded bead jewelry, or felt bead jewelry...Seed beads deserve their own board darnit! 4  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / ideas for my new goth/vamp/romantic bedroom. on: February 14, 2007 04:30:49 PM
Hey craftsters...
I've always wanted a gothic inspired bedroom, and now that I am in a place where i can DO whatever the hell I want...I'm gonna do it. But how?
I would really love to see pictures of your gothic bedrooms, or goth inspired homes. I want to paint the walls in a double red analgous sponge technique to resemble crushed velvet, I have alot of dark wood, alot of black velvet and leather, black and red bedding...many wrought iron sconces and candelabras, and too many pure white candles to count. I like the romantic/sexy/vampire lair look so any ideas along those lines are super great.

Thanks dolls!
