11  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Ongoing Wish List Swap 27 on: October 10, 2007 08:27:04 AM
I claim purpleone...second claim, none sent or received yet.
Purpleone you are about to get spoiled with some of the quilting supplies you asked for and some surprises too. *grin*

My very own wish list…
I am a 31 year old crafty vixen with a passion for bellydance and all things tribal/fusion. I have a 4 year old boy and a 14 year old girl, as well as a great boyfriend whos as sick in the head as I am. I have a love for goth of the romantic traditional nature, not the Manson-dirty trenchcoat style. I think it sucks incredibly that we can't swap mix music anymore. *pout*

I have no allergies, nor aversions to animal products.
Supplies:
1. 1/4 yard or more, of brocade fabrics...any color.
2. Yarn, any color or texture. I have an especially soft spot for hand spun stuff and or hand dyed.
*I knit, crochet, and make a lot of tassels*
3. Lengths of rope , 15 to 50 feet lengths, up to 1 inch thick. Black, Red preferred, but color unimportant. Texture must be good for tying against the body. Cotton, conditioned hemp, silk, etc.
4. Scraps of leather at least 15 inches at the narrowest point. Any color or texture
5.  A set of ultra fine point sharpie markers, or even medical markers. thank you!!!
6. Sassy, cheeky, or completely inappropriate embroidery designs. (drawn by you is great!)
7. Authentic coins from other countries, preferably with holes drilled or bails attached.
8. Extra long chainette fringe (like 30 inches or more) in 1 to 2 yard lengths, red, black, white, purple, cream
9. Cowrie shells with backs removed.
10. Hanks or packets of seed beads, (any color but preferably not mixed together)any size, any type (round, hex, delica, etc)
11. Nymo thread in various colors to go with the seed beads.
12. Roving! Fibers of natural types, dyed or not, carded or not.
13. Magazines like: Ready Made, Bust, Real Simple, or other crafty fantasticness.
14. Grommets in all sizes and finishes. (no painted, unless black)
15. Tassel trim in lengths of at least 1 yard. Any color and size of tassel.
Sewn, Knitted, Crocheted:
1. Belly dance items, of the ATS, Goth, tribal or fusion bent...no sequins or cabaret items please.
2 Super long arm warmers...black or striped...knit, crocheted, sewn, whatever's clever.
3 A pair of saucy bloomers in large (I wear a 16 jeans (USA size))
4 Little girl style pajamas for me...size 18 (or XL) to be roomy.
5 An amigurumi bat!
6 A pair of knitted socks. I wear a US womens 9
7 I'd absolutely LOVE a pair of footed pajamas, with the butt flap opening. Size 1x, purple, pink, or similar. Cheesy
Jewelry:
1 Anything along the lines of Goth/ Rivet head/Tribal style.
2 Rings, LARGE even so large as to be 2 finger rings…
3 Silver, tarnished, etc
4 Chain maille ANYTHING
5 Microscope slide pentants in cheeky, naughty, gothy, delicious flavors.
Stenciled:
1. Cool stenciled tee shirt for my 3 year old boy. He wears a size 4 to 5 T, and likes skulls, pirates, and wenches. I'd love a hot babe stenciled onto his tee shirt...LOL
Kinky:
1. Hand made leather goodness...floggers, whips, cat-o nines, etc.
2. A Wooden Paddle…*grins* frat style, or other. I'd love a hand made paddle for my toy bag…
Crafty:
1. Anything Pin-Up.
2. Surprise me with wisty goodness
3. Dread Falls...I'd just come unglued if someone wanted to make me some. I prefer Black or very dark brown as a main color, and I also adore red and some white or blonde...I have long hair, so any style or type would be cool.
4. Marble magnets, or resin/bottle cap magnets with pin up theme, bondage/S&M stuff, or horror movie themes…
5. A magic yarn ball!
Artful:
1. Artwork for my home. Gothic, Horror, Macabre, visually disturbing…*grin*
Kits:
1 A synth dread fall making kit! God, I'd love you forever. My colors vary between fire colors, and water colors, and black or   white.
2 An embroidery kit! I know how, but I always love a good kit.

13  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Stitch And BOTCH / Re: Errata!? How about publishing it CORRECTLY in the first place!? on: May 03, 2007 10:42:22 PM
I could not agree more. Theres nothing more fun *eyeroll* than buying a crisp new knitting book, such as any of the SNB's,only to have to go to their website to get the correct information for 6 or so projects. I wanna know why they can't get their shit together, and print it correctly in the first place. Who the hell are the proof-readers on these projects, and remind me to never hire THEM.
14  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Stinky yarn? on: May 03, 2007 07:35:31 PM
I wonder if its mothballs you;re smelling. I got some yarn with a really funky humm on it and it turned out to be wool, and had been sitting with mothballs. *gag* I've let the stuff air out for a year, i've febreezed the shit out of it and now my room doesnt stink, but if i get my nose right down in there, i can still find a hint of that nasty nasal offense. I think I'll end up tossing it.

16  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Fill a Flat rate box swap on: April 25, 2007 11:43:02 AM
I would join this swap, if it was unthemed, and a surprise as to what you get. i feel like hooking people up with certain craft items takes the fun and mystery right out of the swap.I think part of the fun, is ending up with stuff you DON'T already use. its about getting something new and seeing what you can do with it.
17  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: what to do with over 5lbs of rosemary? on: April 23, 2007 11:06:56 PM
You know, you could get some pretty little glass containers, and make rosemary oil for holiday gifts. You could couple the rosemary, with peppercorns, or pine nuts...make deliciuous flavored oils. Smiley That's what I'd do. You can also make soap with rosemary, as it has beneficial properties...you could make homemade cough syrup with it, or big batches of homemade rosemary tomato sauce...you could make candle luminaries with rosemary sprigs...gorgeous! endless posibilities really!
18  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Cassandra Corset - American Beauty on: April 23, 2007 11:03:00 PM

20  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Simple Pattern for 4 fabric choices on: April 14, 2007 06:31:52 PM
How about a basic 9 patch on a larger scale? or even a friendship star, on a large scale. Big enough pieces that you wont lose the fabric. Smiley
