I got a gory patch from Glamis a few days ago! It is made up of two pieces with felt, thread and little beads. It is really awesome and I plan to attach it unto pins, so I can remove it easily and use on different items.


Not in the picture are two nice pieces of fabric which I hope to use soon in some patchwork.

I got my fabulous package from queenofmarigold today! I really cannot belive how much work it must have been:

This is a crocheted version of Rincwind the not-very-talented Wizard from the Discworld novels! He is probably the biggest crocheted doll in my collection now, it really must have been taken you a very very very long time to make. Thanks so much for finishing him though, he will get a special place in the bookcase(if he fits  ) next to the Pratchett books. Oh, and the glitter on his hat sais "WIZARD" of course!

Next are these two drawings, which I do like but doubt the bf will be ok with hanging. But since I hope we will move within the next year, I am certain that at some time in the future these will be hanging in my room.

And lastely there were many notecards with Totoros on them! I love the Totoro movie and I might just frame one of them.

I got a great cover too from sloth003. Like her other partner I received a reversible cover with one side featuring a space invader! The bf agrees that it fits the living room perfectly and it is now on the sofa next to the pacman ghost pillow I received in another swap.

The space invader is really a camouflage invader, since it takes some time to see him in reality; the colors are a bit lighter then in this photo. The reverse side is pretty too with blue and green fabrics:

This is the yummy Spicy Gumbo from Scriblette. Of course we also added more hot spicy incredients   I had to substitute the sausage from the recipe for Kabanos and would definately use a more spicy sausage next time. Probably should have let the roux get darker too... I used some selfmade vegetable brooth and it was delicous.

And here is my try of Katfish's Mac and Cheese. Really yummy too, though next time I will try to get some Cheddar and real macaroni (I learned that what the Germany call macaroni are not actually macaroni )

I received a fantastic hoop from megstar! The bf has no problem hanging this one in the living room 

Yes, it is a mix of "Dawn of the Dead" movie posters made partly with little black beads!!! It fits the room perfectly since we got that head poster above our sofa. Thanks megstar for this hoop!!! (and if you have got any better shots, please post them, this was the best I could get)

I am so glad you like the package so much! This makes it easier to post the photo of the lost package. The only thing I redid where the potholders. The towels and mug rugs were on my list to make for you before, but because one item of the lost package took so long I did not make them then. I am especially sad the package was lost for this embroidery, since it was the first time I did some more complicated stitches than just back or split stitch  Unfortunately I only snapped this photo of it before sending.

So many great hoops in this swap, but I got a great one too from flurominx:

I cannot imagine how long all those many many french knots took   It is not that obvious in the resized photos, but all the red in the skull hoops is done with little french knots!

This is just great and the bf is happy too as this is definitely not girlish(a recent arguing point for all things home decor  ). I did not hang these to the growing hoop wall since I thought they needed space of their own, so they are next to the Dawn of the Dead poster in the living room.

I got a fabulous package from Nobodyhasthisoneyet! And it took only 9days to get from Australia to Germany which I find incredible fast for the distance.
First lets have a look at the whole package(pictured in the rather ugly greyish kitchen...our guess is it must have been a real bargain that made the landlord buy this):

That is sure to make the kitchen more colorfull! There were:

• four towels in the package all bordered with a black trim; two are already in use  
• two quilted tea coasters big enough to also hold a buisquit and spoon
• a ring binder for recipes with attached scissors and pen, tons of paper to write on and sheet protectors

and the most fantastic of it all, that made the bf very happy too:

• two potholders and ovenmitten with zombies on them! They are soooooooooo cool   As the kitchen and living room are connected and the living room also features a big poster of "Dawn of the Dead" this really greatly fits in.
• not pictured is a cd with some of Nobodyhasthisoneyet favourit recipes, that I really need to try out soon as they all sound yummy

I got my fabulous hoop from schnerby a few days ago 

I wish I could get a better close-up of the hair as the satin stitch and the french knots(I think they are?) in the tiara are sooooo well made! The satin stitch looks really neat.
