1  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / What should I do with this fabric? on: September 10, 2010 10:52:20 PM
Backstory: I got a bag full of old kids' clothes from a woman on craigslist, I'm using most of it to make a donation of hammocks and tunnels for a local rat rescue. Amongst the old sweatpants and feetie pajamas, this pillowcase was tucked away. It has a small puncture wound and a tear along the seam. It's very well-worn lightweight cotton, and there's sheep on it. I love sheep so very very much.

What should I do with it?!?!?

3  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Sunrise puff-style baby blanket on: September 09, 2010 03:41:22 PM
This baby blanket was somewhat inspired by this post: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=358272.0
I am a fairly new quilter and not professionally trained or anything [because what's the fun in that?].. so this quilt has a couple of really minor imperfections. But overall I'm really really proud of it.

It was created for the etsy team efa September Scraps challenge... as the name suggests, the idea was to make something from the scraps of a recent project. The recent project these scraps are from is a huge rainbow-colored queen-sized quilt that still needs to be bound and quilted.

The back, binding, and even the batting are scraplings.

What do you guys think?

I am going to try this for my cavies. Do you mind if I re-post your tutorial to my blog?
I may do it with my own images but I will link to yours and give you credit.

How on earth did you take apart the pallets? I tried and failed horribly!

Those look awesome! I made mine from fencing I found on the curb. They're great and they look really cool. Grin
10  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Re: Gifts for Greyhound- loving friend on: July 13, 2008 11:37:34 AM
Does she have a greyhound? If so you could knit/sew a coat for her grey-- they have very thin skin and short fur and have to wear coats in the winter. You could also donate a couple of coats to a shelter like a donation in her honor if she doesn't have a grey.
