This was my mom's Christmas gift, I just forgot to post it on here after I gave it to her.

It's knit out of lion brand cashmere and is sooooo soft!  She loves it.

I got the pattern here:

22  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / a little sackboy on: February 19, 2009 10:56:44 AM
a friend of mine asked me to knit a little sackboy for her to give to her boyfriend for Christmas a few months ago.  I found as many pics as I could and thought he looked pretty easy.

Some parts were a bit frustrating.  I wanted to give him an open mouth but ended up just embroidering a mouth instead, heh.  I also totally forgot to put his zipper on.  When I told her she said it was fine.  She loved it when I gave it to her and she said her boy thought he was awesome.

the fingers are my favorite part!  I made them up as I went Smiley

So what do yall think?

Oh my. These are prettyful!
How did you get the tops so round? Did you just sew them that way, or were they shaped as you knit?

i shaped the knitting that way and when i grafted the tops i pulled it a little extra tight Smiley

i got in the valentines mood this weekend and knit up some cute little hearts.  i looked at several patterns and worked on them but i didn't like how they were turning out so i modified them and ended up making my own pattern.  i hope to get it posted on my blog soon for all to share Smiley

i made four but already gave one to my roomie (it was purple).

29  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: a birthday groundhog :) on: February 17, 2009 06:53:48 PM
awww he's adorable!  out of his hole he looks a lil like mr. peanut, which just adds to the awesomeness.

that's exactly what i thought as i was knitting him!  his body looks like a peanut and the top hat just seals the look.  i joked with my friends that i should knit another one to look like mr peanut Smiley
30  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / flowers in my hair on: February 17, 2009 06:41:47 PM
in the midst of some of my more complicated knitting projects it's fun to knit up fun little things in an hour.  i've been looking at felt and knit flowers a lot lately with the idea of making them for my wedding bouquet in a few years.

http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/knit-flower

i found this pattern on ravelry the other night and knit it up while watching bravo.  i added some buttons and a bobby pin and voila! a cute hair pin.  i love it and already have a few more in mind Smiley

i wrote a bit more about it in my blog too.

what do yall think? Smiley

edit:

I made a new one tonight using a vintage button my MeMaw gave me.  I love it and can't wait to wear it out!
